That's great to know, thanks Trip! Hopefully, one rescan will be all it takes once the work is done. *fingers crossed*

Is there anyone here using a DirecTv OTA tuner? After the repack last week I retained almost all the channels I had before, with the exception of WITN. The WITN signal is fine on all the TV set tuners in the house, but it’s a no show on the Directv tuner. Is anyone else having this issue? I’m thinking Directv goofed on the database.

The AM21 doesn't need the RF numebers to match anymore, a firmware update from a few years ago changed it so it can just use the virtual major-minor for matching.

Try resetting antenna settings, reboot your receiver twice to clear out any old pre-repack channels it might have retained, and then rerun initial antenna setup.

That fixed it and thanks for your help! It still doesn’t have 7-4 and 7-5 but I can live with it.

I have a genie HR54 with a AM21 it does pick up over the air channels that are not in the directv over the air data base. It shows 7.4 and 7.5. But not program info just to be announced.

Nice. I bought a new antenna recently at Lowes. They had Winegard combo VHF hi/UHF for under $30, original over $70. I couldn't resist. It's built like a tank and you can even add elements for VHF low if necessary, (comes with the antenna as a bonus). I am going to test it soon and see what it does.

It is an RCA ANT3037Z which is really a Winegard Prostar 1000. I don't think they have anymore at Lowes. I got the last one on the shelf... You can check the website and see. This was the Western Blvd location.

No, but I've researched and read that it isn't as good as a yagi VHF high band. I also think it is an eyesore (just my opinion).

So has anyone been able to get anymore info on the ION station (38) or the Tutt stations? I was able to get 21 briefly, but it was only 21.1 and obviously WINT is on the 34 frequency ,so that explains 35 not tuning

WPXU 35 ION is on channel 16 real. WITN is on 34 real, WPXU's old channel. WTMQ is supposed to move to channel 32 WITN's old spot. Last I checked, it is off the air still.

RDU Transmitters Towers OffLine

Could not get any of the RDU stations early this morning, so I used FB to message WRAL and they told me they had it down working on it. Haven't noticed any difference in signal since they powered back up,so not sure what they were doing or which channel they were working on.

WEPX is on a very low power, and has been since the end of last month. Apparently they had an issue getting power to the transmitter. It will not be turned up until the new stuff goes on the air. No telling when that will happen...

WTMQ is still off the air. It hasn't been on for several weeks.

WITN adding Gray's country lifestyle network, Circle, to 7.6 soon, according to Rabbit Ears. Gray's press release says it launches in early 2020. Guess ITN may go ahead and carve out the bandwith for it. WCTI debuting Dabl November 1 on 12.3. No word on where or if Movies! is going anywhere. WTMH 21.3 is still a simulcast of 21.2, Antenna. Wonder if they'll pick it up or place something new there since it doesn't look like Decades is coming back?

I wish WCTI and WYDO would get sub channels picture ratio right. It looks terrible, WITN and WNCT has its channels full screen. WCTI and WYDO pictures cropped.
Hoping maybe some one adds Court TV. Wife watches on Apple TV pretty good programming.

Must be something local, the Sinclair stations in Raleigh display those same channels properly.

I agree. I often stream Comet on Roku because of the shrunken image. You might try the Stirr app too. It has some good channels.

It's definitely a local preference/issue. In the aftermath of the hurricane last year, when Sinclair managed to get both stations (CTI/YDO) back on the air, the aspect ratio for the subs was presented correctly. Bounce, especially, before that, was awful. Once things settled down and control was returned locally, the subs were pillar boxed again. They're definitely not watchable as they are except for Movies! and Bounce. Like others mentioned, I'll either watch OTT or the RDU stations (once they're available OTA again).

Okay just going to throw out a few random transition questions here.

Any word on when the Tutt Stations will transition? As it is now I can only manged to get 21.1 and 21.2 and that is part time. I had no problems with them before this phase

Any news on the RDU stations getting back to full power. I still barely get 11 and 17

Also I'm seeing a WQDH in my guide I think its Wilmington any know anything about this station?

I think WQDH is coming from Wilmington, on 49 virtual? Does it have color bars? I've seen it several times, but it doesn't come in often.
