It was a Belo Corp directive that all their stations would air 1080i, regardless of network affiliation.

So other NBC stations are seeing the same issue?

I was trying to get WITN or WWBT to see if they too were having trouble. Unable to pull in neither...

There were a lot of issues throughout the game. I checked OTA and cable on both my tvs, they all were in and out. It sure is frustrating.

After reading the Philadelphia, Dallas and Atlanta forums, it does not appear that these issues are affecting other NBC stations, or the forum members just ignore the issues. They did say the Eagles/Patriots game was fine, while ours was not in Norfolk.
Anyone know how many regional HD feeds NBC has for Sunday night football?

It's happening in all dayparts. Wherever it's coming from, it's annoying...

Yes, I have seen it in different dayparts, but since Les said it was before their local HD IRD, that only leaves the satellite transponder or NBC. Since other markets were not affected, I was wondering how many regional HD feeds NBC has.

It would nice if WAVY-DT was fixed (or whatever the cause for the problem is)... The CBS and NBC affiliates in this market have picture problems...

What are the final channel assignments for Norfolk stations?

I enjoy receiving WHRO analog on clear evenings, but their digital station conflicts with ABC16 in Charlottesville.

I did receive WTKR before Gray TV in charlottesville started using channel 40. WVEC overlaps with analog WHTJ on 41, WGNT shares channel 50 in Charlottesville with WVPT analog. WVBT shares with the 5 megawatt WVIR29 charlottesville.

I'm west of charlottesville at about 1400' with a good view of the southeast.

It would be nice to gain a few channels after the transition.

I get them all fine in analog, but I need to fiddle with my setup for Richmond digitals, I get dropouts from multipath interference. Yesterday at 2:30 I was getting everything from Richmond, but by the end of the Broncos/Bears game on WTVR, I had to switch to SD from C-Ville.

I've noticed light rain or snow improve my reception from Richmond.

It looks like I could get Fox43 when WVIR analog shuts down. Most all the others have charlottesville stations that overlap.

What's up with the sound on 10? It's all over the place. This was within its 6 a.m. news block. Some commericals are loud. A station promo came on and was barely audible?!?

I don't know which is more difficult: Having a teenager or converting the U.S. television industry to HD.

uhoh.

WTKR @ 8:00 -- OTA... NCIS is wiggin' out.

They've since switched to SD. & tried to get HD back after the last commercial. Alas, no luck.
