Also is anything going on with 58 and 42? I normally have great signal on those but it's been down all day.

The following appear to be complete.

WSOC
WCCB
WCNC
WNSC

Obviously they are all messed up for TiVo, I'll contact them later to get the ball rolling to fix them.

I started rescanning equipment at 5AM. Looks like quite a few channels either haven’t moved, or don’t have to. I thought WVEB (22) was moving off of 14, but they haven’t yet. WTVI (42) is still on 11. No changes to WDMC (25) or WGTB (28). WUNG (58) was still at 100% on my large directional antenna but is gone from the other equipment - not surprising since they are at low power. WAXN (64) is about the same, but that will hopefully be back to normal Wednesday morning.

It’s interesting that the OTA guides are sometimes whacked after a rescan (9.1 was AntennaTV, 9.2 was MeTV, and 18.3 was CourtTV), but as soon as you change to those channels, it corrects itself.

I thought I might have to reprogram my manual recording setups, but they stayed in place. I guess that’s because the virtual channel numbers didn’t change - channel 9 is still channel 9, etc.

Wccb Smith Mountain will change to 34 eventually. Hope they will fix it before the end of the year.

WTVI isn't part of Phase 5 and isn't scheduled to move until next year. WUNG has not yet transitioned to their low-power facility on the new channel, having announced they would delay until the 11th. Can't speak to WGTB-CD; they have to move by the 11th.

I would expect WVEB-LD and WDMC-LD will wait until they get kicked off their channels on the 11th. If they're not ready to move, they may just go off the air at that time.

WCNC new signal very strong, stronger than WBTV where I'm at. As I expected, I can't get WSOC Charlotte or WCCB Charlotte after the switch to lower channels. Will have to rely on Smith Mountain translators for those.

Yes WCNC seems best improvement at my location in Spartanburg County. And my challenge remains WCCB and WSOC ...

So shortly after 9am I tune to 9.9 on my Samsung TV RF30 and to no surprise WYFF-4 come in instead and WSOC translator is gone. And WCNC and WCCB are gone as expected from the old channels. So I then rescan and get everything back, except disappointed no signal from WSOC on the new 19. I am getting 18 at reduced power top mount but no 19. Not exactly sure why since they same location except maybe just fringe issues. Using 43XG UHF antenna and LNA200 preamp. May go back to Channel Master 8bay or try adjusting the antenna in the attic. Probably best to get antenna outside on the roof which may come later. But definitely miss WSOC Crowder's Mtn. signal, but will try that again whenever they switch it to 12.

But best improvement with WCNC at 9 or 10 bars, almost as strong as WBTV. But does anybody know if WCNC top mount or did they use temporary side mount antenna? Looks like they may be permanent full power facility as signal is much improved. Also expect WJZY improvement on Wednesday.

I really don't think things are going to change much except the fact the lower power stations are gone. They were divid up for the fortune 500 companies that are delving in to streaming. The Verizons, Tmobiles etc.

I think the WSOC Ch. 19 signal will be harder to get at the fringes. May need an antenna optimized for the lower UHF. The 91XG antenna types are better at higher UHF. May have to get an 8 bay outside pointed directly at Charlotte.

No issues uptown. All stations scanned in using only my back of set flat panel antenna. Will rescan my HDHomerun tonight that is hooked up to my outdoor antenna and see what I get.

Same for me here in Spruce Pine as most others from the west of Charlotte have mentioned, WCNC is much improved for me with nearly a 20 percent increase in signal strength, but was disappointed to see that I no longer can receive WSOC or at least not this morning, it is trying to pull the signal in but it is just not quite strong enough. WSOC has always been one of my strongest channels and never went out in any season when it was on channel 34. I normally do not get WCCB at all from the main transmitter in the summer but it was trying to come in this morning, but that's not a big deal as I get the Smith Mountain translator very reliably ( except right now with whatever issues they're having at that site), unfortunately the WSOC translator from Smith Mountain is very hit or miss but has went from no signal before the channel move to being ably to receive it maybe 25 percent of the time. I know Charlotte is not my home market, but I hope things improve for me with the WSOC signal because I can not receive a single channel from the Asheville GSP market, but I have previously been able to receive every network from the Charlotte market as is the case with most people in this area. I'm wondering if co channel interference from Channel 17 PBS in Linville is causing the problem for me since WSOC moved to channel 18, due to the fact that I can see the PBS tower in Linville from my house and it comes in so strong I can pick it up with a paperclip stuck in the back of the tv, maybe once it moves to it's new channel things will improve.

Switch back from yagi antenna to 8bay and WCCB improved. Now stable at 4 or 5 bars. Probably improve evening and overnight. WCNC still improved at 9 or 10 bars; used to be 5 or 6.

But curious no trace of WSOC on 19. Before the change 34 would show up on signal meter, although not always decode during the day. Now no sign at all. Perhaps some sort of operational issue since WAXN not yet full power, or maybe it is just a different style of antenna than 34. But it is supposed to be more powerful on 19, according to their announcement. Not quite yet sure what the issue may be, but I realize I am just beyond the fringe contour line according to the coverage map here in northwestern Spartanburg County. But the specs seemed like it would be a bit better on 19 than 34.

It may not have been your antenna, we made a change to the factory modulator setting based on something Windstream was seeing that should improve the signal lock for some. Fortunately, I was able to work with an engineer who actually understands mpeg video to solve the issue.

And I am sooooo happy to find a browser that blocks the dayum highly annoying CHUMBOX now being inserted in this forum...

I submitted a line-up change ticket to TiVo for WSOC (freq. 34 to 19), WCCB (freq. 27 to 18), WCNC (freq. 22 to 24), and WAXN (freq. 50 to 32). Got the expected response, 5 to 7 days to be resolved. I will submit new tickets after further changes occur.

The website to submit line-up problems is: https://www.tivo.com/lineup.html (you have to know your 15-digit TSN).

Wish you were able to stay on the top mount antenna it seems to be working very good and only using reduced power. But I guess there was some sort of issue that caused you to change plan back to side mount.

I’m well within range for WSOC and I can barely get a trace of it on 19 either. I’ve never had any issues picking up the main tower or the translator before. I wonder if some distant signal on 19 is interfering with it due to atmospheric conditions?

You 'could' have a point there about Channel 17 PBS Linville causing interference right now since you are 'so' close to it. As you say, maybe once it moves, things will improve for WSOC at your location. Hope it works out.

I made the mistake of calling them and got someone in their overseas call center

I had to repeat myself. And then after only giving her a couple of channel changes, she put me on hold for a long time. She came back on the line and said their employees responsible for the guide lineup changes would take care of it in 7 to 10 days? She said she didn't need any more channel changes as the "examples" I gave her were enough for them to figure out all the guide changes? Needless to say, I didn't get off the phone with much confidence...lol.

I may go online soon and report all the changes. I think I did it online (like you did) when WJZY had all the changes with their sub channels some time back. And that's what I should've done today.

Are the various WSOC issues because various UNC translators on 19 are still operating? Is that what's going on?

Yeah when I called I only had to give them a few channels, I wasn't very confident either. I did email my updated PDF to them, hopefully they got it, I never received a real response back from them.

My issue is the opposite. I am getting good results from WSOC, slightly better than before. And also good results from WCCB. I am about 50 miles to the NE of WSOC and WCCB. I am slightly farther from the Dallas towers, but I was getting good signals from WCNC before I saw a 20 percent drop in signal strength today. The picture on WCNC is holding, but that's a significant drop off.

Question: can anyone confirm whether or not WCNC is using a temporary/auxiliary antenna? Or did they already transition to their new/permanent antenna?

Something is clearly interfering with WSOC for those of us in SC. I'm about 46 miles away from the tower and have never had issues picking it up before. Tonight I'm getting nothing. It is so bad neither by HDHomeRun nor TiVo can even get a sniff of signal enough to recognize it exists. The rest of the repack seemed to be OK for me. WCNC is much improved, and WCCB is coming in loud and clear. WBTV has always been a "paperclip" channel here.
