New Product line for the DIY'ers

We are pleased to introduce FocusWorks Audio and Harbottle Audio

These New companies are now offering a line of driver and amplifier products for the DIY community. The Subwoofer drivers they are offering have been designed by Nathan Funk of Funk Audio and are being manufactured in the same facility, with all the same quality controls and procedures, along with some of the same components we use in our finished systems with proven quality and reliability, and are optimized for DIY use. These drivers are also available to us to use in custom finished systems from Funk Audio.

The first driver available now, in limited quantities until we get into full production, is the FocusWorks Audio GUJ18V1, this driver has been tested by Databass, here.

Coming up will be the FocusWorks Audio GUJ21V1 and the TSAD18V1-R, and the TSAD21V1.

Congrats! Huge news! Wish you folks all the best in this endeavour. Look like very impressive (Read: EXTREMELY) impressive first products. Seems Data-Bass sure likes them. Always amazes me how you extract that much performance from a driver. Especially a 21" at just 44lbs. The forthcoming TSADS will be amazing for those willing to take the plunge as well.

Kick ass take names.

Well I have so many good designs just "sitting on the shelf" that aren't practical for use in standard finished product, for one reason or another, sometimes its just a matter of we can only have so many "standard" options for finished products, so we figured we may as well make some of them available to the public. I am very happy with how the TSAD21V1 just came out, I must say it looks real nice too. Offers very well rounded performance for the money, and with the Neo magnet is incredibly light for what it can do.

Majister and DRC3 like this.

The GUJ18v1, GUJ21v1, TSAD18v1-R, TSAD21v1, and the new UH21v1, are all ready to order now from Harbottle Audio

Databass has tested the Focusworks Audio GUJ18v1 and GUJ21v1

Quantities are limited for some parts, so lead times will vary depending on stock/production times.

Here is a picture of the new 21" UH21v1

Those all look really sharp. Nice to see some innovation beyond just more stroke!

Thanks, our goal here is to offer something a little different than what is commonly available.

What are the main differences between GUJ21v1 and the TSAD21v1???

Why would I choose one driver over the other?

The TSAD21v1 has higher top end efficiency, but lower Xmax and being overhung vs the GUJ21v1 being underhung the travel is a little less linear within the rated Xmax. The GUJ21v1 needs a little more airspace to take advantage of the extra stroke as power handling is about the same. Simply the TSAD21v1 is better over 50hz, the GUJ21v1 is better under 50hz, but both are good across the board it really just depends on your application.

Cool...
Looks like the GUJ21 would be the best fit for my application....
Could you recommend a sealed enclosure volume for a .7 alignment?

edit: Nevermind - looks to be about 12ft^3
