I didn't buy the UHD HDR version, worse luck, but the BD looks great and it has the same Atmos soundtrack as the UHD HDR version. This movie's Atmos soundtrack is one of the best, maybe the very best, I have heard. Its LFE rocked my world too.

Ha, I dont blame you...Im going to chock it up to my setup, but I had to crank it to get clear dialog. Just seemed really low, but again I assumed it was just me. I dont have the best speakers, but this was adequate at best for surround sound. The rest of the production really is first class, so at the least wait for a super sale

Of course, i've watched tons of 4K HDR content on the unit on netflix, vudu, and amazon.

Not sure if it's just the vudu encode of allied that's not good or if people are just overhyping the release. I just didn't find it to be particularly impressive or jaw dropping.

Thanks, that gives us an idea of when the several UHDs I ordered will be delivered if it happens again with those coming out on 3/28. Around 7 to 9 days after release date.

It digs a bit deeper in the bass I think in a few scenes but Hacksaw Ridge takes full advantage of Atmos. During the scene at night with the small fires lit around the area you can hear the faint crackling of the fire and it sounds like it's 10 feet off to the side. My speakers aren't even that far apart so Atmos is doing it's job and it's a fantastic mix.

Rumor has it that the next AppleTV will support UHDP. In that case, I would expect Apple to start offering digital downloads of 4K HDR video, and, given Apple and Disney's historically strong relationship, that we might finally start to see UHD Disney content at that point in one form or another. But that's just my crazy conspiracy theory at this point.

Disney has close relations with Netflix, Apple, Starz, and Vudu. I do believe DV proliferation is key to Disney's UHD participation.

Just noticed that Sing is now available on Vudu in Vision and Atmos three weeks before the UBD comes out. And since it's Universal, it is also on FandangoNow in UHD and I believe HDR10. And for those that purchase digital instead of waiting for discs, the Secret Life of Pets and Sing bundle on Vudu seems like a good deal for UHD.
