The Cloverfield Paradox also has Atmos, reportedly.

This. It was originally going to be released in theaters, and at the last second Netflix bought the rights.

Funny. I didn't even notice it wasn't 4K. I've always said that I can't really pick up the greater resolution at my seating distance (65" @ 9' ), and I'm always surprised how many people swear they can.

But I thought the HDR was excellent, definitely one of Netflix's better HDR offerings. Movie was just OK...competent and all, but the "something goes wrong on a space ship" genre is pretty well worn.

Tried watching altered carbon and had to stop. It didn’t grab me. Dunno, just not really feeling it. It has some cool themes and looks great but some things just don’t feel right. Maybe that’s intentional early on, I can’t say. It just doesn’t seem to have that special something...but I can’t put my finger on it.

We had a guest over for "movie night" and ended up renting this flick from Apple TV where we did not have an Atmos soundtrack, and did have streaming issues which affected the resolution throughout much of the movie. It was offered on iTunes/Apple TV in UHD and DV/HDR, so we opted to rent rather than play the Blu-ray Disc, which actually had an Atmos soundrack and probably would have been the better "second choice" for viewing this flick.
You could have redeemed the digital code, included with the UHD BD, and watched it in UHD/HDR from the Apple TV without any extra cost.

Yes. Blade runner 2049 played back perfectly on my Sony X800 too. I watched it last week and enjoyed it. Although I also enjoyed it when I saw it in the theater too.

I got it as a used title from Amazon. With the Digital code intact. I purchased several titles that way last week from Amazon. I'll need to try and purchase more that way since it cost me much less. But yet I still got the digital codes and 2K BD along with the UHD BD in the used titles.

It’s pretty clearly 1080p to me. To be honest it’s not that sharp of a picture either. Most of the stuff I watch looks much better. I was actually destracted by the PQ. It was a combination of intentional grain and elevated black levels.

35mm. The grain is from being shot on film. Probably the lowest bit rate hdr we've ever seen at 5.5mbps

PQ was disappointing and the movie was trash. Netflix really bailed paramount out buying it. The audio is the redeeming quality.

I watched the Cloverfield Paradox last night. I had things rattling everywhere from my SVS subwoofer. I enjoyed the movie. But I'm glad Netflix purchased it. Because I would have been pissed if I had paid $18 to see it in the theater. But for a Netflix movie, I thought it was easily worth it.

I thought it looked very good in 1080P HDR. Certainly a heck of a lot better than it looked in 1080p SDR. At least the minute of SDR I looked at to compare from my TiVo.

I watched it from my XB1X so I could listen to it in Atmos. Since the XB1 is the only device I have with access to Atmos, from the small number of Netflix titles with Atmos audio.

They each have their own merits. I liked Cars 3 in 3D as well as in UHD/HDR.
Personally, I prefer the UHD version over the 3D version. But that is just a matter of personal preference. Cars 3 looked great in 3D. And it looked great in UHD/HDR.

Panic Room (2002) looks to be getting a 4k Blu Ray release, scheduled for September/Fall. This release is interesting because it never got a 1080P blu ray release, so its going from DVD to 4k BD.

I got this one digitally for that reason. It's available digitally in 1080p but not on disc:
