To bad the 3D was dropped from the KS9800 !

Usually when wife likes the movie, she tries to get the 3D version - not this one ! (Did anyone get the 3D version, and was it an improvement, or still lifeless?)
Now elevated to 5 stars after re-watching the movie on my 65" KS9800 - Between the JU7100 viewing and the KS9800 - a world of difference for this movie ! Definitely needs the 1000 Nits or higher!)

Yes, I have to stop watching these new films on the JU7100, just because that's were the wife wants to watch them.
So - 4K - my KS9800. 3D - JU7100.

Watched it yesterday via iTunes on my 930e and thought it looked pretty good. The HDR standout scenes for were the scenes in Korea and the final challenge fight at the waterfall.

Loved the movie was well.

I thought the first season was a lot better and was more interesting. Didn't really like the second season all that much for some reason.

I don't watch the show, but from what I hear, they had already filmed like half the season when Billy Bob Thornton said he didn't like it, so they scrapped it, the showrunner left and was replaced, and then the whole season was rewritten and reshot, with less episodes as well. Behind the scenes stuff like that rarely ends up making things better.

Yeah if that's the case it's probably one of the reasons it wasn't as good.

I actually enjoyed the second season more because I couldn't stand all the lawyer characters in the first season. I didn't think any of them had any redeeming qualities.

I am a bit confused regarding The Matrix.

This list says it is HDR10 only, but other reviews online says it is Dolby Vision. Also, the back of some cases online for it has the Dolby Vision logo on it, but all the ones I have seen in Australia DON'T have the Dolby Vision logo on it.

So what is the go? Does it have Dolby Vision, or not? Are there 2 different versions out there?

Ideas?

Thanks.

So would it be safe to say that even though The Matrix at JBHifi in Australia is 4K but DOESN'T have the DV logo, it is still DV?

I don't want to go out and buy it if it isn't DV, as I can always order a DV one elsewhere.

Thanks.

Hey,

Yeah I saw your edit. I was just confirming whether the fact that the case doesn't have the DV logo on it means anything, other than they didn't bother putting it on it.

So basically, is there any way to tell whether a certain disc has DV on it, when looking at the case? I would have thought the DV logo would have been the sign, but it is seeming like it isn't the case for The Matrix (hope that makes sense), so probably not a reliable indicator.

Thanks.

Film Arena says Alien will release May 1, not January 5th. Fox began an annual marketing campaign a couple of years ago for the Alien franchise called Alien Day every April 26 (based on LV-426), so I imagine they are aiming for around then.

Have to say the 4K hdr stream from FuboTV through my Chromecast ultra looks really good. Going back and forth between the 4k and the 1080p stream, and the HDR looks so much more natural. Hoping this is the gateway to more live hdr content in the near future.

No, basically same thing as something like Vue or Sling, but focused on sports primarily. They have a free week trial, so I’m basically just using it for the World Cup.

Haha, try going back to the Fox 720p feed on Directv. It’s a night and day difference. I did the Fubotv free week trial and going through my CHROMECAST ultra. The HDR feed does look very nice for the most part. I don’t care for soccer, so this is actually the first I’ve seen of this World Cup. I’ll cancel Fubotv after this game, not paying $45 a month to watch a random soccer game in 4k/hdr. It is great to see a streaming service step up and offer the option though. Directv now? Are u listening?

The HDR feed does look very nice for the most part. I don’t care for soccer, so this is actually the first I’ve seen of this World Cup. I’ll cancel Fubotv after this game, not paying $45 a month to watch a random soccer game in 4k/hdr. It is great to see a streaming service step up and offer the option though. Directv now? Are u listening?

What do you mean “try going back to fox on Directv?” Do you mean the 4K stream on Directv is better or worse?

Edited my post, I don’t have directv 4k, I meant going from FOX 720 Feed to the 4k/hdr feed. "Obvious" night and day difference.
