I agree with the audience!
Your mileage may vary!
I had ZERO familiarity with the character and equal expectations for the movie based on the trailer but bought it anyway. I thought it was a fun film that plays pretty loose with some dark humor (but it made me laugh so wth).

Better than I expected and it looks great in DV. I don’t know if I’d give it an 85 but it’s way better than 29.

For anyone who buys movies digitally, there seems to be a massive sale starting today which includes UHD titles priced $5-10. Here's Vudu's UHD section and here's FandangoNow's UHD sale section and here's Amazon's UHD (extremely disorganized) UHD section. Same probably goes for iTunes but I can't link to it.

Correct, I don’t think there is a disc for Alpha (UHDBR). It’s one of the “digital UHD exclusives”.

Netflix added a new stand up special in 4k HDR: Ellen DeGeneres Relatable.

I wonder how long until all new Netflix originals will be released in HDR? Seems like that may be where they’re heading.

The Predator is looking good via iTunes and E8.

Well this definitely went in a different direction. I’m embarrassed to say this but I actually kind of enjoyed it. But I also still have the sense of humor of a teenage boy at times. Lol

Netflix in 2018 has really blown past Amazon in the HDR department imo. Most of the stuff on Amazon is not interesting and perhaps even boring. Couple decent shows on Amazon but it's almost strictly low budget stuff.

I agree. I think Amazon is playing catch up to Netflix and only just started upping their productions budgets this year, meaning we haven't seen the benefits yet. They've invested a lot in new sci-fi, fantasy, and comic book stuff, trying to find the next Game of Thrones. So l have hope for a lot of upcoming Amazon shows. Jack Ryan was probably their first big budget show. Hopefully season 4 of The Expanse will add HDR now that it's being produced by Amazon. Good Omens may be the next big one, and the first from the deal they signed with Neil Gaiman. Of course, there's going to be that huge ($1 billion over 5 seasons) Lord of the Rings prequel series, although it could be 2020 before it premieres. Nicholas Winding Refn's Too Old To Die Young should be some noir eye candy. Invincible will be an adult superhero show from the huge deal they signed with Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman. And those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Here's a couple articles talking about their big lineup from Observer and The Verge. And here's the whole list on Wikipedia.

The complete history so far starts here:

All 3 blurays are solid... hope the UHDs follow suit. Especially Civil War could be a killer upgrade unless they go the Ultron route instead of the Avengers. Still happy to see these come to the 4K side. Do you think theyll bother with the first 2 Thor movies next or pretty much everybody has decided they dont exist lols man those are bad movies.

They'll be released over the next year or so I would imagine. With them wrapping up this phase of the MU, all of the marvel movies will be re-released on 4k soon enough.

Marvel's Runaways on Hulu was graded in DV. I know The Handmaid's Tale was also graded in DV, Castle Rock is getting a UBD release in 2 weeks, and it's likely other Hulu originals have been graded in HDR. While they don't stream HDR yet, they did just start adding 5.1 support to some devices for the first time ever. So I'm hoping they continue to upgrade their services and 2019 is the year Hulu finally starts streaming HDR.

Seems so weird that they removed 4K support altogether a while back though
