Netflix has edited "13 Reasons Why" Season 1 finale to remove a suicide scene, and the edited episode is now in 4K HDR/Dolby Vision. The rest of S1 are still 4K SDR.

*edit: Looks like all episodes in S1 are in 4K HDR now.

That was a good deal but eventually theyll have FnF 9 and 10 added to the package and maybe even Hobbs and Shaw too.

PS, anybody else think the rest of Amzn prime day deals just sucked? Most of old 4Ks that are usually around $10 were on sale at $14.99 as a prime day deal... lame.

Just read an article about the Top Gun Sequel. According to Jon Hamm who is staring in it along with Tom Cruise the movie is being shot with in 6K and will have a lot of Arial footage shot for this film obviously!
Also according to IMBD mentions nothing in the specs about 6K but that it will be a 4K intermediate and Master?
Sounds promising if true and then coupled with HDR10 or maybe DV would could have something breathtaking sequences I hope!
P.S Atmos could be off the charts with the overhead flying sequences also!

Yeah, with regard to 4k HDR disc titles, I didn't find anything. I had purchased "Moon" 4k HDR disc but then cancelled when I found out iTunes had the same title and resolution for $4.99. I also noticed that Prime had everything taking 3 days for delivery instead of 2. I called them out on it and they gave me a $5.00 credit.

@ray0414

Does anyone here object to UHD deals posts? I didn't see a no price talk rule for this thread. There is an AVS Forum for Bluray deals but it doesn't look very active, plus it includes standard Bluray deals.
https://www.avsforum.com/forum/200-b...t-found-deals/

We could limit it to HDR deals here?

Yes, all of the Rambo titles look great in 4k HDR. I bought the HD Rambo 4-pack on iTunes for $9.99 so great deal as 3 of them have upgraded to 4k. The latest Rambo is releasing on 9/3/19 so hopefully the 4th one will also be upgraded on iTunes?

Shouldn't it be one day though? For the past month or so all my Amazon Prime orders have been free one day delivery. It's seems to be the norm around here now.

The only problem I have with that is a large percentage of my deliveries from Amazon delivery people end up being delivered to a different street. Last week it happened to $95 worth of products where I had around a 60% discount. So it would have cost me over $200 hundred normally. But since it was mis delivered and a third party seller, I was not able to get a replacement or re-order at that very low price. But at least I ended up getting an extra $60 in refunds. Still though I would rather just get all my packages delivered properly.

So this week I have been using an Amazon locker on our property at work for the dozen or so orders I placed. That is until the Amazon locker got full, and I had to go back to using my home address. But at least these orders are being sent by USPS. So it's very unlikely I will have a delivery issue with them.

I live in a smaller market so I don't get 1-day delivery. I'm still on the standard Prime member guarantee of 2-day delivery. What makes it funnier is that I called and asked why it was 3-day delivery and they gave me a $5.00 but the 3 items are out for delivery today making it correct at 2-day delivery anyway.

Marvel is only done as far as Phase 4 goes. It will continue long into the future as long as it continues to make money. This is especially the case as they have added XMen back into the fold. Star Wars will still be around as well (TV and movies).

Here is a review of the 3D version of "Alita: Battle Angel" where he thought the 3D was better than the 4k version. I think someone on this thread posted that he liked the new Ghostbusters movie in 3D better than 4k. There are only these 2 titles where I've heard this. I have the disc coming this weekend from BB and now I'm wondering if I should watch this in 3D rather than 4k?

I enjoyed Shazam, I didn't expect much going in, but was happy with it overall, and it does have a few wall shaking scenes which I especially liked.

Also discs available (any title) in other regions in general are they Mastered the same as US versions? Would some have different PQ?

I'll need to check them both out this weekend. My Alita 3D/UHD package is supposed to arrive from BestBuy on Saturday.

I watched it at the Dolby theater in both 2D and 3D. The 3D in the Dolby theater was the best theatrical 3D I had ever seen and I enjoyed it over the 2D Dolby theater presentation. But with the lower resolution of 3D at home, plus only in SDR, I would be surprised if I like the 3D version over the UHD/HDR version at home.

Agreed, Alita 3D in the Dolby Cinema is the best 3D looking film. Alita 3D was even better than Rouge One Dolby Cinema 3D.

In the US the only way to get them is via the JR collection I believe. You can import them if you want individual titles. In some regions they may have different masters/finishing process due to different companies handling distribution. Some could have different PQ. There is a thread on blu-ray forums which people list overseas discs with different masters (don’t have a link handy).

Netflix's "Narcos" has been upgraded to 4K HDR for all 3 seasons.

There's also a new Netflix film "Secret Obsession" in 4K HDR/Atmos this week.

Netflix also added Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac in 1080p HDR, a CGI anime series.

A few miscellaneous things.

First, I picked up a Fire TV Stick 4k when it was on sale this week. Using DC Universe on it, I now get Swamp Thing in 4k HDR 5.1 (for some reason DC never added it to the 4k list on their FAQ and casting it directly to my TV only gives me HD stereo). The finale airs in two weeks, so if you're interested in getting a free trial of DCU to binge, wait until then.

Second, Vudu seems to have updated their website a little, and you can now sort UHD titles by release date or by most watched/popular. It's better than the somewhat random order they had before: https://www.vudu.com/content/movies/...By=releaseTime

Third, tomorrow night is the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. The Apollo 11 documentary is still on sale for $10 at iTunes. Even if you don't have a way to watch it through Apple, it is available in Movies Anywhere and Vudu in 4k HDR10 if you have your accounts linked. I watched it the other night and it is gorgeous. I think their footage of the launch is even better than First Man's. It's also playing again in select theaters this week. I saw it in Imax on its initial run and it was an incredible experience.
