I watched some of the 1st episode in HDR to me wasn’t a big difference. I’ve watched a few episodes in SDR and have been “OK” with it.

Video and Audio Center is the 3rd largest USA electronic seller, #1 in California. I would HOPE they know what they are doing lol the 3rd set was supposed to arrive with a corner board for protection but it didn't have it. And they were not happy when i told them it didn't have it because they had to pay extra for it they said. Next set i think is coming Friday. I am not EXTREMELY backlogged on tv and movies lol though I've been remodeling so i haven't had time anyways. But I'm finishing up my final project tomorrow and everything will be all set and ready to go.

Im also going tomorrow to Preorder the Note 10+. Im currently using an S10+ that has a defective reception chip or something (its a big known issue that isn't talked about much but theres ALOT of angry S10 owners). Basically my phone only works on Wifi so the past 2-3 months Not having service has also severely cut down on my AVS time. so when i get a properly working phone hopefully I can be a little more active again. (i could get my current phone fixed under warranty but that requires it being mailed to a Samsung repair center since there isn't any of those around me, so ive just been toughing it out).

"If you're still dealing with S10's losing mobile network connectivity, get 'em repaired or replaced. If you've already gone through one replacement, I would push hard for a different device. There's no reason to be paying for service you can't use...the downfalls of the S10 root back to Samsung and design/manufacturing defects. I've heard several Sprint reps state that the S10 rollout was one of their worst in recent memory."

I've never even heard about this. I'll need to read up on it. But fortunately, I'm not aware of having this problem with my S10. It's always been solid on 4G LTE with Verizon prepaid.

I got my S10 at prelaunch. A few days before the launch, directly from Samsung.

Time to add a surprise entry to the Reference UHD list from the Avengers universe after the first Avengers. No its not Endgame...

Thor the Dark World looks phenomenal scene after scene... this is what you call a 4K upgrade. The Jaw will be picked up from the floor tomorrow morning 😉

Btw, is nobody going to talk about Shazam! being in Thor 2 as the Robin Hoody guy?

Yes, it’s the Disney trilogy. It was just released this week:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07RNKY4...v_ov_lig_dp_it

I’m not sure why the UK seems to get the trilogies (Cap, Iron Man, Thor) while they don’t release them over here.

Yep! 👍🏻

No worries there for 4k discs.

I’ve been ordering these too. I bought the Cap one which is nice. Iron Man is on the way, and I’ve preordered the Thor.

Just finished watching it, I thought it was very good as the endgame, very satisfying movie (for me). Video quality was very good for me, watched it from the disk (didn't see it at the theater and was tempted by VUDU but waited). No Atmos capacity in my system, but the sound was very good in my 7.2 system.

The disk is HDR10, will watch it next streamed from VUDU in Dolby Vision and do a very uneducated comparison. Not sure why it was HDR10 on the disk, but maybe that's Disney's convoluted thinking.

Well worth the watch for me.

I watched End Game last night via the Movies Anywhere app on my Apple TV. It looked great w/ Dolby Vision and there are some scenes that really pop toward the end. However, I remember Infinity War to my eyes has more impactful or more noticeable HDR. End Game’s presentation appeared a bit more subdued.

I've seen the four movies and personally, of all the Avengers movies, the first movie was the one I enjoyed more in terms of picture quality. The HDR of the first movie was the best of all, imo.

Some Huge news for those in the USA regarding NFL football.

for the 1st time ever, NFL is going to be broadcast in 4k,but with some asterisks.

-Fubo Live Tv

- no confirmation of HDR.

- Thursday games only, there's 10 on deck.

- Swanni believes that other carriers will likely have these games in 4k also, but he hasn't confirmed it yet.

Still very good news because NFL is the last sport to jump on board even a tiny bit.

I'm a strange case because I didn't watch "Endgame" in the theaters due to its length. I then watched "Spider-Man: Far From Home" in the theater before the disc for "Endgame" came out so yes I saw a few spoilers for "Endgame". I finally watched "Endgame" this past Monday and thought it was good but thought they could have shaved off some scenes and made it a little shorter in runtime. I don't get why it past "Avatar" in sales?

That's ridiculous
It wasn't an extended version of the movie itself, just a few extra things tacked on to the end: https://time.com/5617848/avengers-en...-extra-scenes/

The Stan Lee tribute is probably the same one included on the disc. Not sure about the unfinished Hulk deleted scene. And who cares about a scene from Far From Home?

Yeah the "extended edition" was a load of bull to try to get people back to the theater to beat Avatar. Well, it worked.

I finally watched "Endgame" this past Monday and thought it was good but thought they could have shaved off some scenes and made it a little shorter in runtime. I don't get why it past "Avatar" in sales?
Because China is a huge market for movies now. Contributing a large percentage to the Worldwide gross of many movies. While when Avatar was out, it was a much, much smaller percentage. Not to mention that ticket prices are much higher now too.
