People were complaining that it was too dark, sports should be nice and bright. Anyone catch the ESPN 4k game?
Was pleasantly surprised to see Xfinity had the ESPN game (LSU v FL) in 4K. As others have stated, no HDR but it did look good. The best any game has looked on ESPN. The Notre Dame v USC game looked sensational with the added HDR. I didn’t see the issue of it being dark as another poster had mentioned. HDR has only been added to the past two Notre Dame games and its done nothing but add to the eye candy. The way ND’s golden helmets shine under the lights is remarkable. The other game Minnesota v Nebraska also looked good. Didn’t watch much of it but I think I remember it being in HDR as well. The Yankee v Astros game did look a bit soft. No HDR but still way better than any other regular broadcast baseball games have looked. I really like where we’re going in regards to 4K/HDR sports. Really looking forward to this becoming the norm.
