Exclamation Dolby Access app and Dolby Vision Demo Files

Hey guys,

As many have reported the Dolby Access app on the LG OLED hardly works.
I am looking for the test files to download, specifically the ones that play on the Dolby Access app.
Dolby Vision passthrough works great on Plex and using a USB stick as well.
Just looking for all possible demo files for Dolby Vision.

Thanks

Agreed, would be nice to find these in a lossless format, can definitely see some artefacts from compression on some of the videos

I hope they can be useful
I can't download these ones, says I need a premium account - could you upload to something like Mega?

I'm sorry but I can't, but you can register for a free account and download the files.
With a free register account, not premium, you have only a daily download limit and obviously limited download speed.

Got the rest of them except:
Dolby OnOff.ts - 678.1 MB
Filesize too big for even a registered account

I assume this is the same as the Dolby Vision one, just HDR10?

sure, some files are different only in file format (mp4 or ts) so "Dolby OnOff.ts - 678.1 MB" is the same video as "Dolby OnOff (Dolby Vision).mp4 - 417.7 MB".

By the way, here is my last file I found over the internet

Everest.ts - 458.0 MB

I'm also looking for a download or web link to the See. Hear. Spectacular demo, which currently is playable from the LG Dolby Access app. I've only been able to hear it with a Dolby 5.1 stream, as my LG OLED TV isn't outputting Dolby Atmos. However, the Dolby Vision/LG OLED visual part of the See. Hear. Spectacular demo is most impressive in dramatically highlighting the inky blacks of the OLED panel. Would be nice to play it and hear its Dolby Atmos sound track.

What's a favorite downloadable demo that highlights Dolby Vision/OLED for visuals, and Dolby Atmos for audio?

Unfortunately this is as close we have to a downloadable version of that clip. Not the same, but half of it's there.

I agree, it's a great clip, the lightning flashes are so bright!

The intro to Kong Skull Island is a great Atmos/HDR combo. And the landing on the island later on

Thanks for the link! Just downloaded it and, yes, Nature's Fury is about half-way there. Too bad it's missing my favorite part with the washed out "black-ish" LCD background look giving way to the black-black background of the OLED -- that has impressed a number of folk!

Yeah, I was slightly disappointed they didn't play that at a Dolby Cinema I went to recently, as I assumed this is the demo they use there

For anyone with the LG Dolby Access app, is the video See Hear Spectaular gone all of a sudden? It’s like they updated the app and removed that video. Would be dumb if that’s the case. It’s an awesome Dolby Vision/ OLED demo.

Same here, I was looking for it yesterday to show some friends and it just disappeared. That was the best demo in the app, specially the "this is black" part.

Man that stinks. I was hoping it was just a glitch. Easily the best demo of Dolby Vision on that app. I just barely got my TV a few weeks ago and I could of watched that trailer a 100 more times easily.

Maybe they'll bring it back.

I just discovered a bunch of these test videos and have confirmed that my new LG UBK90 UHD player correctly plays:

the Dolby Vision test videos is m2ts or mkv format (limited to DD+ audio) through usb.

the Dolby Atmos test videos in m2ts format with TrueHD Atmos or also in mkv format with DD+ Atmod (but no TrueHD in mkv) - also through usb.

I'm looking fir a test video that combines Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos and it sounds like this 'See, Hear' Spectacular' video sounds like just what I want - are there any others?

When it was available, was it a downloadable file?

I too noticed this recently. This was "THE" go-to demo to show off what an OLED TV can really do.

I really hope they bring this back or at least offer it somewhere to download.

It's a shame my LG OLED TV doesn't support the higher quality audio codecs via USB and ARC. I ended up hooking up my external drive with all the demos to my Oppo UHD player, which plays all the Dolby Vision, HDR, and DTS:X/Dolby Atmos stuff.

I also share the disappoint of everyone that the Dolby app lost all the great demos, especially the music video for "Light It Up", which sounded great !

Ah well... there is the demo UHD disc that contains all the old Dolby app stuff, BUT people are trying to sell it for $200 on eBay, and I'm not paying that much money for a demo disc that was given away for free to resellers.

Yeh, the March 2018 Demo Disc seems to be the one. It looks like it has all the great ones. If only someone could get a hold of a copy and rip it for everyone to enjoy again.

As if the Dolby Vision/OLED Intro being gone from the Dolby Access app wasn't bad enough, now the Dolby Atmos/Vision demo they had where it turns the features on and off in a 4 minute clip is also gone!
