Monitor Only Recognizes YouTube HLG HDR

i wanted to compare the image quality of my Asus PA32UCX to my LG OLED TV, so I connected it to my 16" MBP by TB3 and watched some YT videos with Google Chrome browser. The monitor can show HLG HDR YT videos but for some reason when I wanted to play an HDR PQ video, the options are greyed out on the OSD. Anyone have an idea why? Also, some of the extreme highlights in HLG HDR, such as the sun behind clouds, were well-controlled on my 700-nit OLED whereas they were badly blown out on the Asus. Thanks!

edit: It appears the HDR PQ options are also greyed out when editing in Final Cut Pro and Resolve running through Blackmagic UltraStudio 4K mini. omg

Confirmed: Asus does have HDR PQ modes when editing in either Resolve or Final Cut when connected via BMD UltrasStudio 4K Mini. Still unsure about HDR YT videos when connected to Mac via TB3.
