Something I don't understand about IMAX Enhanced

My tv supports IMAX enhanced and im being told imax enhanced 4k blu ray discs don't need a different 4k blu ray player , the regular 4k blu ray players can play them (IMAX enhanced discs use hdr10 for video and DTS X for audio). What i dont understand is AV receiver requirement for IMAX Enhanced, if i do video switching through my AV receiver that supports hdr passthrough but not IMAX Enhanced, will IMAX enhanced not be sent to my tv? Some of the latest receivers (from onkyo) specifically advertise IMAX Enhanced as one of their new features, does that mean an older receiver that does HDR passthrough cannot passthrough IMAX Enhanced?

I think that IMAX Enhanced is more like a certification, than any new feature.

That was my understanding as well. More of a badge than a feature.

It is essentially 16:9 video and a little add on for DTS:X.
