Appe TV 4k with LG um7100

Good morning all

I have recently gotten an Apple 4k TV box. I am using it with a LG UM7100 UHDR 4k TV. The TV has 4k at 50Hz according to the manual. I have the apple TV set to 4k 50Hz.

While the Apple TV 4k looks great while playing 4k video, I'm getting strange wavy colours/lines like distortion when an all solid colour, like white, menu is showing. This goes away when I change the apple settings to 4k 30Hz.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on where to start looking for the problem. I am not sure if its the TV settings or the Apple settings that are causing a problem with each other.

Thanks.
