Yes I do. It's funny I always use Tapatalk and you can't edit the signature in Tapatalk for some reason. I need to remember next time I am on my computer to update or at least remove what is on it. Because none of it is going to be the same.

Git'R done!! Hehehe!

Ron, I have to say, I am really enjoying the EX upgrade to my Sierra-2's. I've been running them with my Rythmik crossed at 80Hz and have been super happy. For S&G's I decided to run them full range without the sub. I listened to a bunch of stuff over the weekend. Wow! I am even more impressed with them. I actually had to physically check the subwoofer to make sure it was off by placing my hand on the driver. That SEAS EXcel Curv woofer is a beast. I can see why SEAS charges somewhere in the neighborhood of $300 a piece for those. Of course, the truly subsonic stuff is absent without the sub, but I never felt the urge to turn it back on.

I hope you experience the same satisfaction once you have it all in place.

It's been awhile since I've participated in here so I'm not caught up on everyone's systems. I'm looking to upgrade my rusty trusty SVS sub to something from Rythmik, JTR, or PSA but have not heard anything from these brands before and was wondering if you guys had one of these, and if so, could we arrange a time I can come by and listen? I'm a 90% movie guy.

Also, I was just thinking about the Sierra 2 upgrade so I'm glad to see the last post!

Me too Eddy. I am hoping I am finally done buying this stuff. I want to just sit and enjoy. And of course then I can start building my movie collection again. Instead of waisting all my time not being happy with it.

Hey George, welcome back to the craziness! Been quite a while since you've popped in.

If I recall correctly, you ended up keeping both the Sierra-2's and the Philharmonic ribbon bookshelf speakers based on the little shootout you invited me over to help with. If you are considering the EX upgrade don't hesitate. It is a big boost in performance. And if you wait too long the price will go up. Dave has kept the price too low for too long. (Edit: The price has gone up already, but still worth every penny!)

As for the Rythmik subs, I have a 12" sealed one I use for my Sierra-2EX music-only system, and I have (2) LV12F's(front ported) in my HT setup. Let me know if you'd like to hear either of them.

Hi Eddy,

Yep, life has been crazy the past couple of years, sometimes it's hard to slow down. I did keep both. I use the Sierra's for my mains, and the Philharmonics for the side surrounds. I'm set up in my garage so everything is basically set up for one or two people. I still think everything sounds good, but I keep dreaming of moving to a better house one day so I can have a proper setup.

I'd like to hear your subs sometime for sure. And even the Sierra's with upgrade. I can bring mine over if you aren't against that so I can compare. I just saw the upgrade yesterday so I didn't know until now about them.

I have a PSA XS30se sealed sub. I use it with my Paradigm speakers. I am a mostly movie guy too.
I have recently moved and just have a temporary theater setup. I will be remodeling the lower level this summer.
You are welcome to come and listen.

I'm glad I asked you guys. I'd love to hear an example from both Rythmik and PSA. Compare the sound signatures, etc. I'll send you guys a PM in a couple of days so I can set up a time. I appreciate it!

Make the trip to PSA and you can see/listen to their subs in person. Shouldn’t be too bad of a drive. I have PSA and JTR subs and would highly recommend either brand.

Not a problem, however, I will be shipping my 2 channel preamp to Parasound in the next day or so, so the Sierra-2EX/sealed Rythmik system will be out of commission for a bit until they get it, service it, and return ship it.

The (2) ported LV12F's will be running in the HT if you'd like to hear those while the other system is down.

Anyone know how to setup a Nuc to run Roon Rock? I am getting ready to partake in that. Seems like some work. I will let you all know how it goes. But it will be better than my glitchy computer which takes about 3 attempts to start.

Great to see all the activity here! Ed, let me know when the Parasound comes back. Gotta hear your system. Good luck in your sub search George. I run four Martin logan subs. They are sealed so may not have the sheer output you would want for movies

Gregg I think your subs are fine. Remember I thought your wall was cracking literally So did my wife.

And it really is nice with all the activity going on in here.

I got my Roon core/ Rock on my Intel Nuc. Now I can't wait to get all this stuff hooked up this week. I got all my playlists back. Remember I couldn't find them. Now I got at least 80% back. I had to restore a backup. Now most of it is there. I am stoked!

Now if this guy I am buying the center off of would just get back to me I would be thrilled big time. I am ready to have it all back up and going in fully differential balanced mode on all channels. With OMG Aerial speakers all the way around with Goldenear HTR7000 ceiling speakers. I will be finished. Well maybe a DAC will be in my future. But that is it. And only if the USB dac in the RMC1L isn't up to snuff.

Hi Greg, I do like a lot of output, I've heard Seaton Submersives, and they're sealed, and sound amazing. Although the home theater they are in is well treated and the all around system is great. Way beyond anything I'll own, haha.

I'm definitely not going to limit my consideration by sealed or vented, I'm going to try and listen to a few tracks I know well and compare different sound signatures and see what I like best. Don't want to short change myself.

Good point George, didn't mean to pigeonhole you. This is such a fun hobby and auditioning equipment is a big part of that.

Greg, I will definitely let you know when the P5 is back in action.

Ron, glad to hear you got the Nuc/Roon setup decoded. I can "sense" your excitement! FINALLY.......good job on the sig!!

George, I've never heard Seatons nor PSA's, but I'm sure they are excellent. I love my Rythmiks and believe they offer some of the best sound for the dollar. Their Direct Servo technology is available from their entry level models to the top of the line stuff. If you are able to audition various brands/models within your budget that is a bonus as each one will have its own sonic characteristics. That will definitely help you decide which one you like. I've heard Greg's multiple ML sub setup a few times and can say without a doubt they do not lack for output.
