Sounds great, happy to stop by or I could wait until you do a formal meetup if that’s in the plans. Sounds like there would be enough interest!

Great appreciate this.

My theater is a temporary one in my basement. I have rebuilt (litteraly the walls etc) three times trying to figure out what I am going to do and how. I may do it a fourth time this summer. Trying to figure out best layout etc. Don't get me wrong we have a great time watching movies ever if not permant.

Looks nice! I’ve been finishing my basement and haven’t gotten to the theatre room yet, except for planning and moving pipes into floor joists, etc..

I hope to start on it in the next few months but we will see what life throws at me to prevent that

Thanks! My house is undergoing a major remodel, including carving out a theater space. Should be ready for watching by summer!

Great, when I get my NX7 I will post a day that people can come over if they want to see and I will PM my address. It will be a Sunday afternoon because we are accountants and it is tax season.....

As I said before thanks for the heads up, and I should have just looked for a CO group last night but was tired from work and was busy corralling 2 kids and a 10wk old basset hound puppy.

I wish I had a finished theater to show, but mostly exposed framing, beaten up plaster and speakers with a TV now until I can save up for the basement remodel in 2023 . Best experienced with a blindfold.

I can't believe you two are going to be daring enough to do anything other than your jobs during tax season. You're far more ambitious than I. The room looks great BTW.

Glad to see a CO group

Yeah everyone! Great to see a thread for the Colorado area!

I am going to be out that way in the very near future for an event hosted by The Screening Room in Colorado Springs. I will be setting up a projector shootout and calibrating the contenders for the event. If anyone is looking for a calibration while I'm in the area, hit me up via PM. I'm a level 2 ISF calibrator, and I'm well versed on SDR and HDR calibrations for both flat panels and projectors and use the best meters and pattern generators on the market today. Hope to meet a few of you when I'm out there and keep an eye out for the event!

In the next two months hopefully. I’m waiting to hear from John at The Screening Room for their event dates. They are waiting on the new JVC projectors to ship to them for the event I believe.

I am about 2.5-3 hours from Fort Collins and Denver in Nebraska. I did go to a shootout at The Screening Room and had a great time with John. Would love to go to the next event and meet Kris.

John from the Screening Room is only a block or so from my place. I hope to have the RS3000 in this week. I'll keep an eye out for the shootout and may be in the market for a calibration. I know John is usually good at announcing this on his newsletter.

Nice setup! Maybe I should just drive to Colorado and do a calibration tour on my way there. I have two guys looking for jobs in Eastern Washington, so I can hit them on the way over. If you're interested, Nebraska isn't too far out of the way!

We want Kris to come up north a little for calibrations. If someone in north Denver is interested be sure and get with Kris. I have....He needs a couple of people I am sure to make it worth coming from the springs.

Good Heavens Folks! Are you all not aware of The Screening Room in Colorado Springs? Good to hear at least some of you are. Owner John Schuermann posted on the AVS Forums for many years.

He is opening a new showroom soon at 525 N. Cascade Avenue.

The Screening Room is the top rated home theater company in Colorado and has won awards for Revel Dealer of the Year and JVC Dealer of the Year.

JVC really should update their website to reflect that The Screening Room is an authorized dealer.

While I only purchased a Sony 75” TV from John and The Screening Room - - you will not find a better company to work with in the Denver/Colorado Springs area. Very knowledgeable and a real pleasure to work with. Top notch installers, as well.

I'll chime in here as well. John and Joel at The Screening Room are great to work with. They have put together my original projection screen theater in our lower level and are currently working on version 2.0 with some JBL Synthesis speakers, new Stewart AT screen, and some fancy sound calibration treatment. Kris Deering is also fantastic to work with. He has calibrated my JVC RS600 with one of the first custom curves to fix the Gamma issues with this projector. There is no one more knowledgeable and skilled than Kris.
(i hope the plug gets me on the list for your next visit!)

Thanks to flynfish for the link to this thread.
