Hey everyone.

Who would be up for a get together at mine? Im thinking an evening in May (open to dates). I am based in SE Fort Collins and have recent commuted my HT, well 99%, actually make that 95%!
I know there is significant interest in getting together in Colorado and I am more than willing to host.

This is the link to my build thread for this interested. It was done on a reasonably cheap budget with limited skills, but I am happy with it, well almost.
https://www.avsforum.com/forum/19-dedicated-theater-design-construction/2440546-price-max-3rd-biggest-ht-yet.html

This is my main equipment list:

JVC RS4910u
Pioneer SC-1523K
2 x Dayton Audio Reference Series 18" closed subs (DIY SG)
3 x 1099's (DIY SG)
4 x Volt 10's (DIY SG)

It would be great to get others opinions, and especially some help with fine tuning audio/video and any suggestions you may have.

Let me know who is up for it and we can get a date nailed in.

I'd love to come, but I'll be out the 17th- 25th, but other than that most dates work.

I am thinking maybe May 11th from 5pm? Does this date seem good to anybody looking to come over?

FYI I am in SE Fort Collins.

I'm in if we're not celebrating mother's day early this year.

Aaron

PS: How did the PJ meet up go? Anyone willing to share any info?

Thanks

If you're talking about the event in Colorado Springs last weekend, there's plenty of follow-up in the last few pages:

https://www.avsforum.com/forum/24-di...o-springs.html

Lots of info for this newbie, but super helpful to see what each projector did well. That said, I'm not regretting my recent projector purchase one bit.

There hasn't been much of a response to a meet up this weekend so I will postpone until we can get a few people interested.

Yeah, sorry. I was super busy last weekend and didn't have time to look or respond here. I'll keep an eye out for the new date and time.

Sorry, I was also busy that weekend. If you come up with a new date I will look at my calendar.

Also, super busy summer but I am working on calibration stuff so if someone wants to play around with calibration I may be able do that, depending on schedule. I have Calman, all the meters and the pattern generator. I had Kris walk me through some stuff on it also so now working through it. Of course I do not charge now just for fun.

Home Theater: JVC NX7, Stewart 120" 2:35 StudioTech 130, Panamorph DCR Lens, B&W 802 Nautilus, HTM1, 4-B&W 805's for surround, 4-Martin Logan 22's ceiling speakers ATMOS, 2- 18" Velodyn Subs, Marantz 8802A, MacIntosh 8207 AMP and Proceed AMP 5, Oppo 203, Panasonic 820, Apple TV, XBox One

I may seek you out if I notice any color drift once I get some more hours on my bulb. Kris calibrated my projector on 4/24, but the bulb only had about 30 hours on it. We’ll see...

Anyone in the Fort Collins/Windsor area proficient with REW? The learning curve is just a bit too steep for me on this, so I’d need someone to come over for a couple hours and help me get things rolling in the right direction. There are plenty of adult beverages in the bar...
