Some of us from Omaha will probably be attending the Kansas City Crawl.

I'd like to attend the KC crawl and would be willing to drive or carpool with anyone else heading that way.

In addition to being a ISF/THX/HAA audio/video calibrator, I also became a dealer this past year for many products. If any of you in the Omaha area need anything, I have same day availability for most Denon, Yamaha, JVC, Middle Atlantic, Chief, Sonos, Niles Audio, and many other products. I'm a dealer for Seymour AV screens and GIK Acoustics. I also have JBL, QSC, Crown, Lab Gruppen, DBX, and other pro audio stuff.

I have special holiday pricing available and the lowest prices of the year on JVC projectors.

DD, I had no idea you went past the calibration stuff to becoming a dealer. I'll definitely hit you up for my next JVC PJ and Seymour screen.

I'm selling my JVC DLA-RS500. It has 400 hrs on it. I'm getting the new JVC DLA-RS520. The price is $3800 and includes a full calibration on your screen for SDR, HDR, and 3D. I'm seeing if anyone local is interested before I list it in the main area.

If anybody knows someone local looking for a theater projector, I just listed my JVC RS45 in the front projector forum. Looking for local pickup in town at this time, don't want to mess with shipping. Selling it with spare bulbs, 3D emitter and glasses for $1150.

I picked up a used JVC 4810 from the classified forum here. That follows my pattern of buying a 4 year old model every 2 years, so in another couple years I'll be ready to upgrade to Michael's 500. The 4810 is the one that you and I watched Pacific Rim on at Grant's house in Bellevue.

I've actually got the 4910, but I think the differences are minor.

I'm heading down to Kansas City tomorrow to jedimastergrant's home theater. He has a JTR Orbit Shifter LFU and a pair of JTR Captivator 2400 passive subs with a Behringer EP4000 amp that are for sale. I'm bringing back a JTR Cap 4000ULF in my covered trailer and could bring back other subs, too. Contact @jedimastergrant if you are interested.

Here are the Orbit Shifter LFU measurements at data-bass: http://www.data-bass.com/data?page=system&id=123. For the Maximum Long Term Average from 20-100 Hz, it is second only to the ZOD Audio M.A.U.L which has 4 18" drivers!

I do have room, but it isn't a day trip. I'm leaving at 6:30 am and don't come back until Sunday afternoon. I have a couple of other places to go to on Sunday.

Due to Michael either being the best, or possibly the worst, friend a person could ever have, I now have some new subs and will soon have a Danley DTS-10 spare that I have no use and no room for. If anybody knows someone local to Omaha that wants a 59.5 x 44 x 16 inches, 285 lbs commercial sub that puts out bass down to 12.5 hz, let me know. Not interested in trying to ship this thing. I need to do some more price research but I'm thinking $1,000 even.

My RS500 sold earlier this year and my RS520 is now for sale. I'm getting an RS620 next week!

If anyone in Omaha would like to demo a JTR Speakers Captivator 4000ULF subwoofer, please let me know. I may try to have some guys over in the next few weeks to demo it at my house . . . along with my 3 Noesis 215RT speakers.

Although I probably will hear it from my house anyway I wouldn't mind checking it out in person as I missed it during the last KC crawl.

Cool! I'd be interested in seeing a professional setup.

I've been perusing the Omaha area theaters and have ours about 50-60% done.

What's left:
black carpet, double door entry, 12' bar, paint A/V area, everything else is just about how it is in included Sketchup screen shots.

ccunningham,

First, that's some very nice Sketchup work. I never had the patience to learn it. It was Visio all the way for me.

Second, you should definitely take some pics of what you've done so far and tell us about the project. You may even want to start a thread. If it ends up looking anything like your pics plenty of people will be interested in seeing how it came about.

Lastly, when should we expect the christening?

Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know that Jeff from NightSky Murals is coming to town to paint a star ceiling for me. He wanted to know if there were any others interested while he was in town. Exact date not set yet. If you are interested, recommend sending him an email.

I've been working on some upgrades to the old theater room. @desertdome has been helping as he can - he is super busy building his own mega theater (the one to end all others) and I'm getting close to done. When I finish this thing I'll be inviting everybody over for some demos.

@andersa also got some huge upgrades recently and he lives by me, maybe we can talk him into a rotation where one group demos over there and the other over here.

I haven't been to check out anyone's theater in quite some time. Considering what your theaters already looked like I am definitely excited to see what you've done. Until you pick a date, count me as very interested.
