Doesn't have to be lavish, just functional. Hell, a lot of us just sit around drinking and bull****ting. Wait, what's that you say, "no that's just you Todd." Oh, well anyway, it's a good time. djreef might already be thinking about one.

Whoever wants to step up, I've got a list of emails all ready to go. Plus you can flip through this thread and PM or mention some of the guys that couldn't attend. Like Ray said, all you have to do is set a time and start planning. One thing I wouldn't do though is poll everyone about the best time, not everyone will agree on one single date and be able to make it. You just have to pick a date yourself and say "this is when it is". But like djreef said, we don't want to do this now, it's literally hotter than hell. Let people offer to bring their subs if you want and some of us can contact the mfgs and see if they want to send something.

Are there any REW experts / audiologists in Houston who can help me with my HT room? I need measurement help and acoustic advice. I've bought a Primacoustic kit and haven't hung it yet, because I don't even have a baseline.

P.S. I'll pay for pro help!

This would be great. I can contribute to the knowledge base on what I know , and how I do it..

Overall, tedious process, but willing to contribute and learn from others as well.

I'm headed out of town for awhile, but would like to meet up at some point and kinda go through some scans with y'all, hopefully garner some insight on why things are done the way they are.

Thanks

Looking for some advice on what to do next...

Hi everyone... I live in west Houston / Energy Corridor area. I just "finished" a 7.2.2 system in my 3rd floor media room. Been really happy with it, but hoping to get some advice from someone more experienced than me on how to take it to the next level. Some things I'm wanting to learn more about are Calibration/REW, rattle reduction, lighting control, acoustic treatments, etc. Looking forward to meeting some of you in the future!

@imureh @Rob Greer @xylem

You all have expressed interest in REW scans and tuning a room. I am willing to host a night for REW usage and scanning and to share how I do my setup.

I get back into Houston Nov 4, so let's tentatively target November 16. This will give me time to make sure I have everything active and configurable.

Let me know if you are interested via a PM.

Hello fellow Houstonians,
I live in Katy (Richmond/Aliana to be exact). A member here for a long time but got my dedicated HT with a new house a few years ago. Recently upgraded to a 4K projector (JVC RS1000/NX5) and a Stewart Studiotek 110" so I've been busying black out the wall with velvet.
Would love to join you all for future meetups.
