Today or tomorrow I'm going to try and make some progress on the schedule. With the amount of people at the moment we will have to split into two groups. I'll try and group folks from the same areas (MN, IA, KS, etc.) with each other.

Neither of you have the legs to get much action. And since I will be driving, my devastatingly gorgeous gams will not have to be exposed to avail strangers of transportation from locale to locale.

I keep confusing my intentions with my abilities.

Hah! Yep I did. Have a lil' AVS g2g happening that same weekend...but it's all golf related with a sprinkle of room demos between two of us. 36 holes that Friday, 36 Saturday, and 18 Sunday with our fellow buds Coach and Frohlich. I think Dgage may even make a celebrity appearance, albeit not on the golf course it appears

OK...here's the first draft. I tried to keep the KC, IA, NE, and IL crew together because I'm sure there's going to be a lot of car pooling.

Group 1:

@lukeamdman
@malikarshad
@Rowan611
@stegen
@primetimeguy
@kaiforce
@Flynnr
@Killer
@triggernick
@bossdog304
@whoiswes
@desertdome

Group 2

@stitch1
@FireDust58
@Archaea
@Randy Bessinger
@d_c
@eng-399
@JCJetta
@ZLTFUL
@jeahrens
@BRAD S
@K_Dude
@dsl1
@femi

Group 1 Schedule:

10:00am: Steve’s in New Brighton
11:30am: Find something in between New Brighton and Chaska for lunch
1:30pm: Rich’s in Chaska
3:30pm: Luke’s in Burnsville

Group 2 Schedule

10:00am: Rich’s in Chaska
11:30am: Find something in between New Brighton and Chaska for lunch
1:30pm: Steve’s in New Brighton
3:30pm: Luke’s in Burnsville

I'm open to all and any feedback!

Me, @zorax2 and @Killer have also been discussing adding an additional stop in Chaska. @Killer is only a few miles from @zorax2 and might have some REALLY high end projectors to demo.

I for one am excited as hell to hang out with you KCMO legends - seriously, over the years it your builds that reeled me in and hooked me on this crazy hobby, and I learned a ton from those threads before I had even closed on my first house.

Dang! I have not hit the forum in a while, and I am sad I won't be able to make this G2G

Thanks for the invite @lukeamdman ! I recently finished my AT screen and have the 1099's behind it, so hopefully I can be a tour stop the next time around.

My theater isn't 100% complete but whose is? I have some trim work in my lobby to finish and I need to dress up the door, etc.

Any of you who are travelling a great distance are welcome to stay at my place. I have two bedrooms which I could put you up in and have plenty of space to put a few blow up mattresses if you bring one along. I am about 2 hours south of Minneapolis so a pretty easy Saturday morning jaunt from here.

First post has some info on extra stuff available to the attendees on both Friday and Sunday.

@bossdog304 - How goes the build for the 24s?

I'll also throw out that on Friday I'll have the place to myself. The wife is taking the kids on a trip to visit family in Iowa specifically to avoid bass

If anyone want to come up on Friday I'll host a movie and/or demo some 2ch stuff with just the mains.

Bummer. I'd be all over this but my wife is out of town that weekend. It was hard enough finding a place to stash the kids during the crawl on Saturday. I'm not even going to try for Friday.

Make sure you save some bass for Saturday.

I turn the sharpness on my TV all the way up, because that's how I like my picture... real sharp.

To be honest I have a ton of stuff that came up at home. Sadly I have to go to Rochester to pick up BB to save $15 a sheet and everytime I finally can go it rains or snows. I also have the new on call list at work and of course I am on call that weekend, but I am trying to swap a Saturday because I was on call for the last one. I don't believe I will finish them in time. Will only take a day to rip the sheets down, but I plan on vinyl finished boxes and my only chance to get them done would be unfinished. I'll keep you in the loop. Sorry everybody.

That trip was sooo much fun!

Austin driving, (popalock)
Brandon front passenger. (beastaudio)
Sheldon (carp) and I in the back seats.

Timestamp 16:42 in the video below.

ALL tired -- stayed up till 2:30 AM talking and vibrating to sixteen 18" subwoofers worth of bass at Austin's house. Left Austin's house at 5AM to head to Gorilla83's for the 2014 Home Theater Heavy Hitters' Meet. Not in the car too long before those two started full on head banging to music. Austin headbanging while driving? Yep, like his life depended on it!
I remember laughing so hard because of the craziness of......just everything. Those guys know how to have some fun!
