Thanks. The room took me about 350 hours to build. Only thing I didn't do myself is the carpet. The last 2 chairs are just for overflow. I eventually will replace them both with a counter top area. I’ll get around to it someday haha.

Not that you would ever need it, but did you ever consider adding one to your own impressive theater? Or would the cost/benefit ratio not make it worth it?

It sure seems like it would be the ultimate bass luxury, but far beyond the reach for almost all of us.

A few in this group are bass heads, but not all. If you can come to a few bass head like GTG’s and you decide you are also a bass head, then it might be the right choice for you.

Don’t need a Thigpen to juggle the ceiling tiles. .
@Lukeamdman can do it in his basement on command with his pile of 21” drivers.

Lol, I thought choosing -10 on the dial was a safe starting point. -10 turned out to be quite loud. I am used to 0 being reference

I think I forgot to chime in- as much as I'd love to make it to another G2G I'll be in New York to see some shows on the June date. Anyway, can someone pass along a message to Jeff (JTR) for me? Upon finally plugging in my shiny new Oppo Spiderman Homecoming started playing. Assuming he wants it back I kinda want to be lazy and hand it off at the July G2G, but I suppose I could mail it or something.

No story that starts with "I gave Alex the remote" ends well....

At least you know your speakers and subs are built very sturdy Art....

THXMAN's Alcons started to distort and play bad sounds....

Rad and Holly's sub didn't fair so well...

Etc...

You can give Alex or Jeff the remote only after you remove the volume and trim level control buttons.

Lol, I feel like I am being bullied here! With that being said, I have seen a sub fail on at least 3 occasions as someone tried to show off their bass to me. My bass preferences are somewhat demanding

It more of the users not necessarily knowing the capabilities of their systems. You just like to show them where it is.

You are also used to a system with little to no limitations except when your hearing gives out!

Most of your limitations are the human ear and your room itself.

There will be some limits on your main speakers that we talked about, but I never suggest listening to main speakers that loud anyhow, do to a real concern for hearing loss.

Hence why my GTG will be limited to RomCom movies at -30db or quieter. You guys aren't tricking me that easily.

In all fairness, I was in control of the remote and it's been repaired. I wasn't even trying to show off the bass... I believe that Alex's presence caused stage fright for my sub. Poor thing! lol
