Lots still to do around here. We are having our bath and bedroom redone and I gave a two month buffer to be sure it would be finished long before the meet and it's still not completed !!!!

This has complicated the cleanup and how much we had to do right before folks get here.

Last night Mark Seaton came in to go over the functionality of things, we spent about four or five hours looking over potential demo stuff etc. What a great guy. The more I get to know him (and have for over 15 years) the more respect I develop.

Looks like it's going to be a fun day coming up for the 50 or so guests.

Art, I just had to ask. What would you do if say 1,000 people said they'd show up? (Just kidding, no need to comment. If I were you, I sure wouldn't. However, that number of people was at least a possibility. Good that you didn't put up posters all over your home town.)

Hey Art, how about if we promise not to go in your bedroom!

Good luck with everything, I can't imagine how you can do all this work for that many people, thank you so much for opening your awesome home theater and providing such a great gathering place for us all!

Ron,
Thanks it's further along than that, it's just that Angela has been sleeping in the guest room, my son Tyrus is at college and I've been in his bedroom all of our cloths and toiletries etc are all over in other bathrooms the house has just been incredibly dusty, boxes , lumber ,drywall you name it has completely filled the rec room where the bar is ,so instead of just preparing for the meet all the other stuff has been going on . We just moved our cloths from the entry couches and chairs into the new closets etc a couple of days ago.

Anyway ,I really do enjoy sharing the fun that my theater is . Another member I tried to encourage to have a meet in his incredible theater but he said he didn't want to subject his wife to having to entertain so many people and him having to baby sit the whole day. I said that's not how it goes ,with friends there they watch out for your stuff ,run the show some of the time and entertain each other , you supply the venue.

We really are more far flung than that. Without the forum ,there would be little interest. It has to be nuts like us.

I'm guessing his issue was that he had been to one of your meets, right? Because you set the bar so high not only with the theater but with the food spread!! Remember my meets I didn't even try to compete, I just had a couple snacks maybe and it was all about the theater. You have a full-blown top notch EVENT!

Tell him he doesn't even have to have food at all...we just want to see the HT!

P.S. this doesn't mean Angela can forego the fruit pizzas!

(pics deleted for brevity!)

hahahaha

but wait, there was one picture there without me in it! well, that's okay, because it featured a fruit pizza...

and I think that first pic was from when I won that grand prize gift certificate from AVS? That was awesome, got me my first hd-dvd player and my first blu-ray player!

Well, I've been watching the weather for saturday...looks like it'll be warm enough during the day (and rain is not forecast!) for me to bring the hot rod out...as long as I don't leave at midnight I may do it! Over 50 and dry is all I'm looking for.

Helps that I'm itching to do so, only had it out once this year so far for just a few miles...stupid winter!!

Funny, didn't know there was such crossover. Back when I had my '05 Magnum RT 5.7L, me and some others started what became the Minnesota Frozen North LX club via LXForums, SRTForums, etc. We had regular meets/cruises. Fun times!

Sorry I didn't answer. I appreciate that. Like I've said many times, I like this to be a party with home theater as the excuse.
