If you want to bring your own toga that's great but if not there will be plenty available here to go around.

Well, the crossover may not be quite what you think...way back when, when a bunch of us had semi-regular meets, we got into a discussion about a name, and Home theater Enthusiasts of MIchigan came up (I think maybe from Art?) - and there may have been some influence from the fact that I had a Jeep SRT8 at the time...so we called ourselves HEMI. We had a pretty nice (big) banner made to help people find the house where the meet was at. We're still hoping to find out who has it! As for the Jeep SRT8, I've now moved on to a Charger Hellcat...so still in the Hemi family. And Jeff (Bland), it's even faster than the CTS-V (cruise missile)!

Yes , I took some serious poetic license and made Hometheater one word so I could use HEMI as the acronym It was just too cool and too appropriate to pass it up.

I visited Art's home last weekend to go over a few details and make sure the audio came back together as it should after all the work done for "the twins."

You are all in for quite a treat on Saturday. The picture and immersive audio are pretty spectacular for most every seat in the room, although we might have to save the back row seat in front of the rear pair of my 18s for pennynike to start in before he basks in the front row immersion of being less than 12' from the 16' wide screen.

I'll be bringing a small 2.1 system so we can have music running in the bar as well. I'll connect an Amazon Dot to make music selection simple and likely more amusing as the night goes on.

I look forward to catching up with so many that haven't made it to a meet in a long while.

Also, Getting super excited to see what I consider to be one of the top 3 best theaters on this site. Hopefully I can go back and still enjoy my peasant theater after.

IIRC, he had it on a 64GB one. I’m not sure if it was full to the brim as I didn’t look at it for free space.

Make me a copy! I don’t get to go to the meet, but this would be a nice consolation prize!

Oh no, the only way to get a copy is to be at this meet!

Lol, you know me so well Mark! Even with 8 diy subs + 4 of your Terraform D18's, I still would love to own more subs. I know it is not technically "needed," but I like the bass potential!

Saturday should be a blast!

Are you kidding?? That's something you have in common with one reason I like to go on cruises - THE FOOD!

I just went through the demo looks like just under 30 minutes of stuff. Difficult to know the volume setting with just me in the room. I'm downstairs and my ears are ringing, I should know better. Once I show everyone who wants to see and hear this then whatever folks want .

Ron, I'm sorry, no black and white this time, hold back the tears.

Are you running your stacked projectors in full hdr mode Art? @ SOWK and I are both curious what 2 5000es projectors can do with a specific early scene from the movie "IT."

BTW, the Marantz 8805 I mentioned I have been waiting for over a month. Want to take a guess when it was to be delivered? You guessed it...on Saturday!! Lol, what are the odds right? I will now pick it up on Tuesday instead

Yea it works out that way it seems.

Because of the way the optics work with a stacked 5000 it will balls out for both HDR and SDR material. After I ran through what I'm going to show today I think you will enjoy it.

That is truly awesome to hear! It is an enviable set up to have a sony 5000es and a Trinnov, but the fact that you have 2 stacked 5000es is out if this world! I do believe that this will be the first time I have seen a 4k projector showing native UHD with HDR in a gtg/formal setting. At the trade shows, they always seem to be converting hdr to standard def, since it can be tough for projectors to properly display hdr content.

Thanks again for allowing me and my girlfriend to attend. Really looking forward to it!
