Minneapolis / MSP / Twin Cities Minnesota
After building a "bass door" (6 15" in a solid wood door to a room/hall/closet), an attempt at a rotary roofer (cheap CP rc helicopter mounted in attic, wired RCA cable to remote inputs -- it "worked" but just not quite loud enough as servos weren't fast enough for over 10Hz, and not loud enough under), and "designing" a amazingly effective bass shaker for $20 (12" car sub on center of 2nd floor wood floor of house), I'm looking for local peers near Minneapolis in our endless quest for very low frequency reproduction who'd like to mutually show off our rigs and experiments or collaborate on building a better DIY TRW-17 or designs.
My next design may involve an exhaust fan in a tube with a sub for the valve, nevermind the heating/cooling consequences of the outside air flow for now.
My current rig is 2 15" Alpine R-types, plus the aforementioned 12" floor shaker.
I'm also getting into LED light tape/strips I may wire into some sort of very large low/mid/high driven colored lighting effects.
