In terms of projector cost, I'd like to stay around $3,000 or less if possible. I'll have great ability to control light in the room so hopefully that will help me be able to get a reasonably priced projector and still have an awesome picture...
The 7 main speakers are B&W CM series with the front 5 retrofitted with the new 700 series tweeters. The 2 Atmos speakers are Elac B5s. A Marantz 7702 MkII preamp handles the processing duties with an Emotiva XPA-3 (3x200w) handling front channel duties, a Rotel RMB-1075 (5x125w) handling the back 4 and a smaller Emotiva to handle Atmos duties.

For under $3000 you can't beat the Epson 5050 in my opinion. Very good contrast, flexible placement, healthy light output. If you want to stretch a bit, a JVC NX5 B-stock comes in just above your price range. Which will yield even better contrast, native 4K panel, and dynamic tonemapping for 4K programming (which is fantastic). Like, TheBlackAngus and TechTVMan, I have it's upper range sibling the NX7 which would give you a decent idea of how the NX5 would look.

Here’s a great deal on a JVC RS520. Not the new line, but still a strong performer, well under your target price.

Only 283 hours on the bulb.

I can vouch for the seller, as can many others in the industry.

I love my iPhone, but it will never replace my turntable. I've never seen Titanic OR XXXXXXXXX. Alexa is a stripper name.

Makes me wish that I was in the market for a new projector. That is one heck of a deal.

So for the record, I ended up getting the Ruipro active 50' optical HDMI 2.0 cable for about 130$ with a 20% off coupon.
My current HDMI 1.4 cable can only pass up to 4k 24hz and will not pass 4k 60hz (as would be expected since it shouldnt support it in the 1st place)

So your all on the hook for this working well =)
Hopefully will have it sunday to mess around with.

Well I got the Ruipro cable yesterday and while it does appear to work as desired (a bit more testing is needed), the directional cable is labeled at both ends as "Display".
So what are your thoughts on a 100$ + cable being labeled incorrectly? Should I return it for one that is built correctly?

Well my guess is that the cable is more likely mislabeled than built incorrectly. So if it works it's likely just fine. Digital media generally works or it doesn't. No in between.

Fine line on the wording. Is it built correctly when its a directional cable that comes with a note in the box about using it appropriately directionally based on the labels on the cable which are not right? I mean that is the definition of built incorrectly. The label is a functional component, it just used seldomly. =)

A big part of my problem is that something I paid 130$ for isn't even labeled right. How do I know that's not counter-fit or B-grade or something else.

If they are charging me for a premium cable I would expect the cable to meet all of their manufacturing guidelines.

But then I remember I am a bit AR and think maybe this shouldn't bug me as much as it does. (But it does!!!!)

I’d exchange it. If they messed up the connector marking, even if it works today, what’s to say when you get your 8K sources going it won’t expose another issue they goofed up.

So update on the Ruipro active cable.

They were very painless to work with on a replacement, and the replacement came just a few days later.
New cable works and is built correctly so +1 to their customer support.
