Who started that rumor! I will only have them for a short time before I return them and build the HTM-10's. Just want to see what some decent pro-audio speakers can do in my room before I build.

Well, you know how interwebs rumors get started...

If you hurry up and order and build the HTM's, you could demo all of them side by side. I'd even be kind enough to set it up so it would be blind testing.

With kids, I don't want to chance getting these messed up and not being able to return so they are probably going back pretty quickly...plus wife is definitely going to tell me to them out of her living room immediately! Anything I build is going to be curved and probably veneered, so that adds a few weeks to a typical duratex box build.

Zero progress. I set up a work area in our bedroom to keep it away from the kids and then the holidays hit. Then wifey had a work conference in Orlando that we just got back from. She starts back to work Monday leaving me only weekends that aren't booked to work on them. It is a few hundred pounds of paper weights till I can get some actual free time.

Good news for you guys up in JAX area...

Spoke with the manager at the AMC in Orange Park. He said the Red Light bleed on the screen has been addressed.

Bad news is he said it'll be a few more months before the online seat reservations are available.

I may have some free time tomorrow. Thinking about taking a little road trip to see Underworld as that's the only major large screen showing it in the vicinity.

Man, I still have not been able to make it to a theater in quite some time. Still want to check out the new EPIC Cinema right around the corner from me. Huge 4K screen and DTS: X sound.

Yea, it looks pretty sweet. Similar to the Dolby Cinema but without transducers in the seats. Wonder how their bass is? It still has Rogue One playing if you haven't seen it yet...

i havent been to the theater in Orange Park but a few days ago I hit the Regency AMC theater and saw Rogue One in 3d Imax...was pretty awesome..the bass was very nice.

I always thought a movie theater was a movie theater..some had better systems then others..but man now im seeing all these different theaters have all these different formats..DTS X, 4k, Imax, bass shakers..etc etc.

Yea, I received my order of 2 HTH-10's on Friday. I'm doing curved cabinets so will probably take me a few weeks to complete. Also, finally almost done with my acoustic panels. Once complete I'll post a full thread on them with pictures.

Zero progress to report. Getting any time to work on it right now is just about impossible. I manage 20 minutes alone every day I can, usually 3-4x per week, and I usually get out of the house and clear my head. I used to retreat to the garage and build. Not an option any more. I have everything I need less the finish right now. Holding off on that while we figure out how to pay off the birth and related expenses. Just life right now. I feel like all I have to report is a bunch of excuses these days. I need to address that before another three years goes by.

Might be time to ask the wife for a break so I can work. I bet I could knock them out (less the finish) in a day or two.

No, that was me, although I'm sure he would like to hear them too! I ordered a pair of HTM-10's. Building curved cabs for them so will probably be several weeks until I can complete them. Would be cool to hear your's against the HTM's Should sound more similiar than different I would think.

If you ever find yourself near Gainesville, let me know.

We can do a side by side after you get them.
