I tried unplugging over night too. We're taking it over to my electronic repair guys house. He's done pretty well for me in the past. Fingers crossed.

Looks like my 92840 has been retired. My repair guy is having trouble finding parts. I preordered an Optoma CinemaX P1 UST projector.

Hi all, long time I haven't been on this site, have a question. I have a WD82-840 and looking to add a newly announced ROKU Sound bar, however according to the Roku specs it connects to a HDMI ARC port or Optical outlet and this tv doesn't have either. Are there any converters or other means to connect?

Thanks.

So I have an 82740, and the screen has gotten noticeably dim. Just checked the hours and at 7,309. So I ordered a new bulb. $155 including handling charge, shipping, etc. Seems like a lot for an old tv. I hope it gets brighter. It is to the point it is basically unwatchable. The tv is in an upstairs room that doesn't get a ton of use anymore but if the screen were nice and bright it would get a lot more. Hope this does the trick. I used to really like the picture on it, especially for movies.

Mine would be noticeably dimmer around 3K hours and I used to typically replace before 5K...you are going to notice a HUGE difference!
