Guys and Gals need Help.

My beloved 92A12 just made a loud "pop" noise and shut off. I press the ON button and steady blinking green light.

Unplugged the power cord for about 10 minutes and plugged back in. Still steady blinking green light.

Tell me the TV circuit boards did not blow up?

A pop usually means your bulb blew out. You can always search the thread for a blinking green light.

Thanks Nightt.

Yep it was the bulb. I did search and came up with threads stating "blinking green light of death" which scared the heck out of me. Threads were talking about 4 bad capacitors on the DM board. I referenced the manual and it didn't have a "blinking green" diagnosis except for normal operation when the TV is first powered off but that eventually goes out. This occurrence didn't and the light would blink continuously.

I did repeated resets by holding the power button down for 10 seconds. Then I got the clue. At one point of doing the resets I got a solid "red" light which per the manual references bad bulb.

I popped the bulb assembly out and sure enough the inner bulb was shattered and in tiny pieces.

Luckily I had ordered a direct replacement from Mitsubishi a few years ago. Popped the new bulb in and walla! Back in business.

Thanks for the post Nightt! Now back to your original programming.....
