Is it possible to use the ISF software to calibrate a TV, and specifically a Sammy DLP?

http://www.imagingscience.com/cal_sw.htm

Is there any benefit to using this software versus an Avia DVD (like the digital one that's due out in a month) and a HTPC with various outputs (DVI/VGA/Component/S-Video/Composite)?

I wouldn't. A computer monitor may not be a good basis for calibrating a Samsung DLP. But I really don't know.

"The ISF has certified the following products for calibrating computer monitors. These packages contain a number of test patterns ideal for optimizing computer monitor display quality."

My Components:
Denon X3400H, OPPO UDP-203 & BDP-93, Xfinity XG1-P, Vizio PQ, Roku 3 & Ultra 2018
Calibration Resources:
Customer's Reports -- Professional Calibrations
Calibrator's locations and tour areas.

Can you elaborate, Les?

My thought was that a TV with a VGA input (like the DLPs) should act just like a computer monitor, right? I'm trying to figure out what the differences would be in test & color patterns generated from PC Software vs. those from a DVD player with an Avia DVD, and if there would be anything specific to PC Monitor CRTs that wouldn't work for normal CRT TVs or DLP/LCD RPTVs.
