Mirror in back of wd74730 mitsubishi

Theirs some smudges on the front of the mirror inside my 73" But im not sure how to clean it. I researched and found some people use a high concentration of alcohol so I tested it out with 91% on the smudge in the furthest corner. It got rid of the smudge however the area around it looks kinda purplish but it doesn't show up on the screen. In fact that small circle looks clearer and maybe brighter then the rest of the screen. Not sure if I messed it up or if the rest of the mirror just looks crappier then that clean area.

Anyway, id read about their being maybe 2 types of mirrors in these things. A regular mirror, or a front surface mirror. Is their a way to tell which I have inside mine and the best way to clean it? Im thinking the guy who had it prior was a smoker. I just don't wanna screw up some film if its on there by cleaning it with something wrong.

It's ether front suffice glass mirror or its a mylar film wrapped around a 3/4 inch square aluminum frame. Ether way, try and stay away from anything stronger than soap and water. Also sense you have the screen off gently dust off the lens.
