Xbox certified TVs

Years ago, a friend of a friend had this TV that had an Xbox branding on it (Not sure the make of the set) and the owner claimed it to have been designed or certified for the Xbox. Anyone know if this was a real thing or was I spoofed?

Current gear: UN65JS8500 (Main TV), M40-C2(Guestroom TV), I1D3(Using HCFR)
Retired: TH-50PX80U, M55-C2 (Returned)
Duds: 2x XBR-65X930D(bent frame, 3D unwatchable and clouding), P65-C1(3x Yellow banding, dead pixels), UN65JS8500(blue bleed) UN60J6200 (Returned, dead pixels), M65-C1(3x Defective units, all dead pixel and yellow banding)

No, you weren't fooled. My friend also had such a TV. It was a line of RCA televisions with a built-in Xbox-specific component AV port (VPORT). This was back in 2002-2003 or so. It has OK picture quality, but nowhere near as good as my Sony with standard component cables. It was mostly a gimmick.
