I know the Epson 5020 does this, but are there any cheaper options?
I need the side by side capability and also 3D and lens shift.1080p obviously too.
Looking to upgrade my 8350, and any tips help.
If there's nothing else, I will be saving my pennies for the 5020, unless a killer replacement from Epson is announced soon for the same price.

The side by side feature is for connecting two gaming HTPCs for side by side racing sims.

Or I could keep my 8350 if I could find some sort of HDMI processor that can do the side by side for me. I can then upgrade to a lens shift 3d projector later.

Sadly there are not many choices. Actually I can't name one that offers 3D and real lens shift for under $1,500.

I can go to $2k if the side by side option is there.

Probably a refurb Epson 5010 is your least expensive alternative (HERE is one source). Refurb 5020's may become available within a few months as the 5030 should begin shipping within a month or two. Another alternative would be a used or refurb JVC DLA-RS40 or RS45.

Thanks for the suggestions. To me a used or refurb 5020 makes most sense, since it's bright and has all the features I need. It also has a lower input lag than the 5010, which is a consideration since it will be used to reaction-critical games as well as movies.
