Much of this is in another thread but I'm not sure the experts like coderguy and others will see it.

I have a W1500 on order at 12-1300 but with black levels at pretty iffy levels, I'm tempted to go with one of the close out Mits units around the same price. 3D is important but with a small I. I'm upgrading from a PLV-Z2 so most anything will be a substantial upgrade. I'm used to my HW50 and LOVE it but can't afford another one for a vacation house.

I only have 10-11' throw distance to work with in my railroad car style townhouse there with the seating area in front of that. I'll get a larger image with the W1500 but again the black levels will be middling as I hear it. I saw a W1070 at a dealers place and with bad setup, it looked miserable. I'm sure I can deal with the slightly smaller image either mits will put out. The room has only OK light supression with a 8' white ceiling and shooting the image on a white wall with black masking.

Opinions on the Mits? I do want FI or whatever each mfgr wants to call it so limiting myself to a unit that has it. Most people have said the W1500 has a noisy image and the FI doesn't work very well.

Appreciate any feedback.
