Hi All,

Looking for some suggestions on which projector to buy.  I am looking for a sub $1000, 1080p native resolution projector that's super quiet.  Any suggestions?  I have been looking at the dB rating on projector central dot com, but have a hard time trusting it, since it says my existing Sony AW15 should be a 20dB unit (which is about as quiet as it gets).  Yeah right!  Thing sounds like a jet engine!  20dB my ass.

Just hoping for some random suggestions so i can l can further look up reviews to see what others say about the noise.  Not having too much luck thus far.

< $1000

very quiet!

Thanks for your help!

One of the quietest 1080p I know of is the Mitsubishi HC4000. Great picture and a very quiet projector.

I will second the Mitsu projector recommendation. My HC5000 is quiet in normal mode and virtually silent in eco mode, all while producing a stunning picture after years of use.
