Bought the epson 2045 manufacturer refurbished off ebay about a month ago. Took some photos of it to compare against my old projector and everything was fine. The colors were excellent once I adjusted the settings a little bit and I was blown away. However I was watching a movie and one of the tv shows that I had taken photos of when I first got it about a 26 days ago. The same movie and same tv show just didn't like right I knew the colors or something must be off so I went to settings. Idk how why or when but my projector automatically reset all the image settings to default. So, thinking this would be a quick fix I adjusted the settings to what they used to be or at least pretty close. I immediately noticed that the colors and image got better, but I immediately knew it wasn't the same. To test this I took photos of the same images and the colors are definitely not as good as it was the first week I was testing it. It's frustrating because either I'm doing something wrong and I just need to do further adjusting or I just need to return this ASAP and exchange for another one. Don't get me wrong the image is still great it's just infuriating knowing it was substantially better not even days ago.

Epson Powerlite 2040 Blank Display, No graphics, Audio Only

My Epson 2040 with 1600 hrs on original lamp has been working fine for 14 months until yesterday evening when I switched it on and all I could see is a blank display with no graphics or logo. However, I could hear the audio just fine. The projector started with a blinking status indicator which stopped blinking after 15-20 sec, but the projector remained on. Everything else seemed normal , i.e., no abnormal fan sound or noise or any kind of smell etc. the screen is lit dim with discoloration in a likely blue, white tint. Initially, I thought it was a lamp issue so I replaced the lamp with a new one today, but that made no difference. Please advise. Now when I start the projector, it looks like it starts normally with a blinking status indicator, the projection is dim like in AV MODE in remote, but I don’t even see menu or logo or anything, let alone the video from a video source. Could anyone please help?

Anyone else installed firmware version 1.08?

I found the link for 1.07 here https://www.epson-printerdrivers.com...e-updates.html
And changing 107 to 108 works but not 109

http://download2.ebz.epson.net/dsc/v...ONPJ_b4107.bin

Found official link here
https://epson.com/Support/wa00805

2040/2045 is listed as 1.08/1.06 (respectively?) under the same file

I don't trust a firmware update unless to fix something very important, and just in case they disabled the uhd/4k downscaler, unique of this entry model, until someone who doesn't care will try and confirm it doesn't happen.

Alex Gant & Epsnproj, I missed your posts, did you solve your problems with epson?

Epson TW5350(HC 2045), Darbee DVP-5000S, Himedia Q5 Pro, FinePix REAL 3D W3, LG Otimus 3D Max

My 2040 displays no signal when anything is connected to the HDMI. Tried multiple cords devices no change. RCA jacks work fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried unplugging it for a few minutes? IIRC, sometimes the HDMI chipset needs to reset. I suppose you've tried HDMI one and two?
