Sounds like a cable issue and the Marantz might be down-converting the signal.

The cable I am using is a 3ft HDMI 2.0, I have 3 if them, tried all 3 with same result. Same cables get 4k60 on my Sony X800 Blu Ray player. Do you really think it?s worth getting new cables? The ones I bought meet the right specs.

I read that 3 foot cables can give folks problems. Try a 6 footer.

When I first got the projector, it wasn't an issue but lately its been getting worse.

I see that you have a 100" screen, does that mean i might not be able to do it? this calculator says i would have to use a 1.58 zoom to accomplish, with 6" from floor to bottom of screen as i only have about 7' 10" ceiling. will the 1.58 zoom affect the image quality or have any negatives?

Another question i have and i'm really not sure of the technical term for it, but how big is the cone from the projector to the screen? in other words, how far away from the screen does someone have to be in order to not walk in the path of the image to where others can see their shadow? thanks a million for your help!

I have UHD60 and 150" acoutically transparent screen and have my projector mounted at 19'-0" from screen wall.

UHD60 owners with Xbox One X

When you start this source what does the projector show in the lower right-hand corner for "SOURCE RESOLUTION?" Seems like my Xbox One X is showing 2160P, while my Google Chromecast Ultra is showing 3840P when I switch to the source in the lower right-hand corner.

Just wanted to understand if everyone else is seeing this or not? When I run the Xbox One X 4k advance setttings it has all the 4k items checked off in green.

hi! I was using the above calculator to get the distance, but it's 4' off from yours. Is it because you're not using as much zoom? or did i mess up somewhere. thanks!

I only adjusted the manual on the bottom of the projector about half a turn. I do not have any digital zoom from the setting applied.

Wonder why the Chromecast Ultra displays the high value when the source pop-up is shown when switching to it?

Yikes. That sounds like a dilemma.

Hoping you get a answer as I'll be setting up my 65 with the same cable Saturday.

You do have the cable input/output ends correct I assume.

So what source is it that won't sync to the PJ?

I gather you are having this problem with a direct feed from source to PJ? If so, perhaps try it with either a compliant HDMI switch or AVR?

Thinking it's a glitch in the RUPRO cable chipset specific to your combo. If so, maybe adding another layer between the two may help.

Interesting. I have the same cable and Im running it straight from my Sony x800 to uhd65 and it works. Im going to hook it up to my Denon avr 4300 tomorrow. See if it still works. These handshacks get finicky.
Not sure what Ill do if it doesnt work seeing my cable is buried in ceiling.

I just picked up a UHD65. Can this projector be shelf mounted up close to the ceiling, or do I need to buy a ceiling mount?

Thanks!

You will need to hang it on the ceiling, it only has a minor amount of lens shift.

Just found out my 2 short HDMI cables are delayed in transit till Monday.

Can someone confirm that the cheapo looking cable that comes with the UHD65 actually is 2.2?

If not, I need to pick one up on the way home from work.

Yes, the HDMI cable that comes with UHD65 is HDCP 2.2 compliant. I am able to watch movies and games at 4K60. I'm also using the Monoprice Certified Premium High Speed HDMI Cables to connect my Panasonic UB900 and Roku Ultra to my receiver (Yamaha A1060). All work flawlessly.

I have the same cable to my 65.

So another cable to the projector works fine but not the RUIPRO. If so it has to be the cable.

Great, thanks! I had my older Marantz 720p projector shelf mounted in the back of the room. I have since taken it down, but my try that first before spending cash on a mount.
