Exclamation Optoma HD180 input resolution issue...

Brother-in-law is still using this good old rainbow effect project. Anyway, I'm having issue getting it to display 1080/60p. The current setup is all devices passing through Pioneer VSX-521-k. Both Optoma and Pioneer seems to support 1080/60p.

With my thinkpad x220 which uses display port (++) for secondary monitor, I've got the DP to HDMI cable, 1080/60i is displaying fine, but not 1080/60p or even 720/60p. From the Pioneer, it detects HDMI signal, but it has no way to tell me what it's receiving on video resolution. I'm also having trouble displaying with Chromecast, I think it's displaying 1080p but not sure the frame rate!!

There's also a Sony Google TV box, when I set it up to display 1080p, Optoma shows it's receiving 720/60p

I haven't tried to connect directly to Optoma as the mount is sort of unreachable...

Hopefully someone can give me some idea.
