Question about the Optoma HD142X 3D Quality

I'm looking to purchase a home theater projector, and have been looking over the specs and manual for the Optoma HD142X. In their manual for this model, it states that frame packing 3D will play at [email protected], but then at the bottom, there is a bullet point which says "[email protected] will run in 144Hz."

Now, I'm familiar with the dreaded "Soap Opera Effect," and I'm trying to stay away from that in purchasing a projector for use with 2D and 3D sources. Is anyone familiar enough with this particular projector- or with what they're saying in the manual- to tell me whether or not 3D content played through this projector will have the dreaded Soap Opera Effect?

The soundandvision.com review of the HD142X raved about the 3D performance and gave it five stars for 3D. Since the HD142X doesn't have frame interpolation it should have no SOE in any mode.

The HD142x and most newer DLP's use whats called triple flash for 24hz 3D. It will display each frame 3 times for each eye so that is 6 x 24 = 144hz. It has no FI so no SOE effect. 60hz 3D will play @ 120hz so this is why the old 120hz glasses will work for 60hz sources and not for 24hz sources thus the need for newer 144hz glasses.
