I typically use it for watching movies on my AppleTV and playing games on the Nintendo Switch, but we recently had some internet outages and decided to use the Sony 4K DVD player. After about 15 minutes of watching w/o issue, the PJ just shuts off. No indication as to why when viewing the lights on the PJ so I can't diagnose it that way. I can turn it right back on and restart the movie, then it shuts off again in 15 minutes.

I've tried switching inputs on my Yamaha RX-V681 receiver, as well as HDMI cables from the DVD to Yamaha, and even put in an old Sony Blu-Ray player instead of the 4K DVD and the issue still persists. However, I have zero issues with both the AppleTV and Switch.

Anyone have any thoughts on what could be causing this? It seems so weird that it's just happening with disc players. It almost seems like it's going to sleep or something, but I have Sleep Mode off and bumped the timer up to the max (30 min) so that doesn't make sense.

Appreciate any thoughts you may have!

Just bought the 2100--looks quite good, but when adjusting the lens zoom, the slider is sticky, making it difficult to fine tune, and also shifts the lens horizontally slightly as you adjust larger/smaller. Is this the case with all of them? It doesn't feel very good.

Hope this is clear, thanks!

Folks, I bought this projector back on Black Friday of 2017 for $650. I'm shocked that this is now going for $850?!!? Is this because of the pandemic? The last time tech I bought years ago actually appreciated in value was when the Bitcoin crazed pushed up the price of my video card.

Honestly for the price I've always had a 2nd on hand for a back up. Things happen. They are $70 I change mine yearly cause I issue it on high mode 70% of the time in my living room.

I think truly this is due to the fact that there's barely any new 1080 projectors come out that are nearly as feature filled as this unit. Everyone moving to pixel shifters truly have changed the game. Optoma truly is the only one anymore coming out with new 1080 protectors and they are only interesting cause they support HDR

Honestly not a common thing are you sure you're not bumping it as you adjust the focus or zoom ring. My unit as well as my buddies that I set up for him do not have this issue. Is your unit new and clean?

I picked up a refreshed 2150 from Amazon for $499 and it should be here tomorrow. Meanwhile I'm still looking at the refurb 3700s available from Epson directly and wondering if that is worth the extra $100.

I'll be using for my living room HT -- projecting onto a 100 inch screen -- where there will not be full dark much of the time. I'm also planning to install on to a ceiling mount with quick release so it can be taken outside for movie nights in the summer (or more often given that entertaining and seeing friends these days is 100% outside and at-distance). Brightness is therefore important. Anybody have advice about 2150 vs 3700?
