Projector Buying Help? Upgrade Optoma Hd25-lv?
So I am currently moving to a new house.
Currently, I have the following:
RF82 ii Towers.
Trashy 20 dollar surrounds
120" EluneVision screen.
I will likely be selling the projector with the house and will be in the market for a new projector, screen and potentially audio items.
I have a budget of around $1200 CAD ( not including $1400 set aside for replacement projector and screen )
Installing into a basement, perfect space for a theatre, long and narrow with enough to place a 160" inch screen if I so desired.
( will update with pictures tomorrow )
Looking to increase screen size to 140"
My question is this:
I was going to just buy the new version of the previous Optoma, the Optoma HD29Darbee for around $1050.
Then I was going to add an RC-62 ii center speaker ( $400 CAD ).
And also add a sub ( $400 Cad Budget, If you can find an SVS delivered to CAD for this price I would be happy ha)
And finally surrounds Klipsch( CDN$ 359.00 240s )
But now, I have been searching on projectors. Should Is spend my upgrade money on a bigger, badder projector before sound?
And These two caught my eye:
Epson Home Cinema 4000 3LCD
Epson Home Cinema 1450
One is 4k and the other seems to be a much better all around projector.
Should I be investing in upgrading the projector itself, or my sound setup?
I am happy to add to this slowly if this is optimal. Money will start to flow in 6 months or so, so taking it slow to do it right is an option.
Although my next move is split now. Sound or image quality?
And is the Optoma a decent enough projector?
This is a large space.
Thanks for any help. Will add some pictures tomorrow etc. Picture is of old space.
