Talking as a viewer (not a technical guy) i am satisfied more about blacks and the colors of H2 comparing to the H1 and H1S.
Actually i did calibrate my color with "Mad Max: Fury Road – Black and Chrome Edition". i adjusted all color settings to get best white and black.
i am happy with those settings at all.

germanojose and srafaels like this.

Hi everybody
I have just purchased the H2 during my vacations. I am in China and I have tried to use the AirPlay function in between my iPhone and the projector but it doesn’t work when I want to display YouTube videos by using a foreign VPN. Have you managed to make it work abroad as I will soon be back to France.

Also can you confirm that Chinese programs cannot be accessible from abroad except if I use a VPN ?

Many thanks for your answer.

Same question about the compatibility

Welcome to H2 user club then
actully Airplay works well with H2. i tried before but i dont have iphone to try anymore.
You cannot fully acces the Chinese content out of china without VPN. Some of videos can be opened but very less.
There was an apllication i tried before made to play Chinese content out of China but it did not work for me.

Feels like a bit of a strange move to me - realistically will there be much of a lift selling the H2 which is not much of an upgrade from the H1 internationally? Besides the lumens increase and ability to have 4K and HDR inputs (but may be pointless due to lack of HDCP2.2 - unconfirmed), the consumers may be unwilling to shell out $900 for the unit.

The more appropriate play from a marketing perspective is to sell the upcoming H3 which is the faux-4K equivalent of H2, in my opinion.

That said, I may just be proven wrong with their sales record. If they can somehow get certification to Android TV, HDCP 2.2, Netflix, it may be a different story.

To those who already have an H1, maybe not much of an upgrade to this new H2. But to those whom not own an H1 yet, of course choose the Xgimi H2.

That's true - hopefully they find a new audience. That said, my assumption is that most people who would look at Xgimi products probably already own the H1.

I have four cheap projectors, none of those is Xgimi H1. But I am waiting for the international version on Xgimi H2.

Completely agree with you. They should get playstore and netflix support for international H2. Almost every user complaining about that.
And for me, international user interface should be improved. i like interface of chinese edition and many setting options. i didn't like international user interface on H1.

edit: found it by myself. its called stepless zoom. i quess if you decrease the picture size about 20% you lose 20% of the native Resolution?

Guys, I was waiting to buy the H2 International version. But appeared the opportunity to pick up an Optoma GT1080 Darbee, practically new (50 hours of use). What do you think?

https://www.laurentwillen.be/en/test...onth/#local-17
stating "And I get a much smaller picture without any loss in quality. "

can someone explain to me how a software-based shrinking without image degradation works?

several other questions besides stepless zoom:

- because of 0,47'' dmd we wont get native contrast above 1000:1?
- so if black Levels are a high priority should it be wiser to go with h2 slim (lower lumen)?
- are there enough motion compensation options so you get fluid pan shots without soap opera look?
- 120hz at 1080p for 3d is supported? hows the 3d performance in general?
- how fast is the cycling of the leds? or in other terms how present is the rainbow effect especially when watching black and white movies?
- because theres no cms... do we have a preset which almost approaches color norm?

I am looking forward to finding out once for all:
1. If it supports HDCP 2.2?
2. Whether it has a HDR mode or not?

Based on the international version webpage, it does look like it's downplaying the whole HDR10 and 4K inputs abilities, maybe it doesn't support HDCP 2.2 after all.

Cool price! I knew that you were an early adopter of H2, how's the performance and picture quality?

Is it really a big brightness difference on H1? Thanks

i am happy with my H2 so far. Brightness and video playing performans far more better than H1 even H1S.
if we speak about brightness, i will say H2 is brighter distincly than H1 and H1S.
i compared H1 and H1S before but it was not clearly noticable.

I am currently using a 350 Ansi lumens dlp portable projector with 92" pull down screen.

I really want to upgrade into Xgimi H2 soon, hoping it blown me away!
