The amount of convergence in the menu example screenshots is concerning on that Epson. I guess that’s just LCD though.

I am primarily a TV-series watcher, and the gaming I do is quite causal so the input lag is not more important than image quality for me. I think a good image/higher resolution would be better for me since I play many games where visuals are a big part of the fun.

LOL, the Staples site is showing the BenQ HT3550 "Delivered within 1-6 business days".

oops, then "out of stock" when added to cart....

I’m waiting for that shipping email! I returned my TK800 two weeks ago, I still might make the Game of Thrones premiere.

Interesting! Would you mind if you could share how you decided to buy TK800 two weeks ago and then HT3550 now? Thanks a lot!

Kraine,

I always enjoy your reviews but Google does a horrible job of translating the French language. Even Chinese to English comes out better. I know from your postings here on AVS that your English is excellent. Is it possible that you could take the time on your HT projector reviews to translate using Google and then go over the result and fix it with a 2nd pass to make it fully understandable? I would guess that it would take you no longer than 15-20 minutes per review. It would be greatly appreciated by your English speaking fans.

Seems like I'm in the lucky minority of people who actually received their pre-order? Even the "bad" batch looks great IMO (even with youtube 4k HDR video), I think I'll make do until the good one comes in

What hdmi cables/lengths is everyone using?
I still haven't gotten around to running the Ruipro 40 foot yet.
Was going to take a chance and see if the 35 foot BJC one that's still run will pass a proper signal.

I'm running the 10m Ruipro. I tried a monoprice 25ft active, but it did not work

I’m running 30’ of this from my sources (Xbox one x, blu ray, shield tv) to my receiver and then a 40’ from my receiver to projector. 70’ combined run. No issues for 16 months.

Ha, I have a 180 something posts in 15 years of being a member of this forum and 29 of those are on this thread. I was very interested in this projector as soon as it was announced and I saw it would have the same throw as my HT1075.

Just an FYI and YMMV, but I tried the 35ft version of this cable and it would not support 4k 60Hz 4:4:4.

I'm running a new 30ft Monoprice HOSS Active Cable I ran just before I got the HT3550. No issues with my Xbox OneX or AppleTV 4k. However I have had issues with my FireTV stick 4k and I don't know if that is the cable, or my receiver, or just that the Firestick is flaky.

Quite likely! However, even though I didn't see a cable direction requirement I did swap ends. In saying that though I tried it between an AppleTV 4k and an LG B6 OLED only. An RUIPRO fiber cable worked fine with the same pair.

Both.

Took this for @Troy LaMont

Shows 4K h264 but then you can see it switch to 4K h265 (hevc). Btw, the pause was not for loading I was making sure the camera was focused.
