Projector recommendations please

Looking for a projector to replace my Optoma HD50 in a completely light controlled and black dedicated theatre room.

On a budget so looking for secondhand/closeout/refurbished deals etc
Would like it to have Lens Memory or Powered Zoom as I have CIH screen setup
Ideally would love a Laser but will settle for a lamp

Epson 5040UB seems to fit the bill but looking for other suggestions up to $2000

Thanks

A gently use JVC is about your only other and best option as no others have lens memory. A RS46/x35 or newer preferably a RS400/x520 or better if 4K/HDR is wanted. Be very careful as many owners way over price these used JVC's asking way more then they are worth but if your patient good deals come up all the time.

The used JVCs seem to be very expensive

After a long hard search the choices are basically 5040UB or Benq W2700/HT3550 - I can live without powered zoom and brand new they are cheaper than 5050 second hand

Or I could fix my HD50 as I have found a cheap repair for exactly my symptoms and then save up for a 4K Laser projector

Thanks

Used RS-46's or RS-4810 go for about $1200 in the AVS Classified section, sometimes less.
Ebay doesn't have many good deals on projectors, thanks to the high fraud rates (against sellers) of high-end used electronics.
