A very good deal with a JVC HD and I bought it. Is it still a good one?

Hi everyone I would like to share with you my recent and apparently anachronistic purchase of a JVC hd100. I got for a very very little money and I am waiting for it to be delivered in few days. It comes from a dealer in perfect condition with a lamp almost new. Regardless the need to replace the lamp which I saw would be about $140 what do you think about this projector today? Just curious since I don’t know this model in particular. I will use a 90”screen projecting from 10feet in a darkened environment. I don’t think I need a lot of brightness. How is this model comparing to more recent under $1000 projectors? Thank you

Thank you for your kind reply. Yes the HD100/RS2 is quite dim but with my set it should be more than enough. Actually another pj brighter would be too bright no? Unless you can adjust the output like in the more recent JCV. With all the others just a cannon light with a laughable contrast and black level. So do you think this projector can properly fit a 90” screen from 10feet in a dark room? I like deep blacks and strong contrast! Thank you very much

Thank you for your kind reply. With the projector central calculator I should have 26ft of brightness which is more than enough! After calibration it will get low but I am confident still in a more than enough range. I forgot to say that the screen is 1.1 gain so better!
