Epson EF-100W and EF-100B: portable laser projectors

The market for conventional tube headlamps declined by more than 30% in 2018, while the market for models with LED/laser light sources grew by more than 7% in the same period.

In this context, Epson introduces the EF-100W (white) and EF-100B (black) projectors, ultra-compact portable laser devices (210x88x227 mm LxHxP and 2.7 kg weight).

The first portable laser projector from Epson for private users has been designed as flexible and simple as possible. The EF-100W/B has the smallest volume of all 3LCD laser projectors in the world and measures only 23 cm at the longest point of its housing. The device will be available from June 2019 in a white or black housing from qualified specialist dealers.

The prices:
EF-100B: 949€.
EF-100W : 949€.

Availability announced for June/July 2019

I'm looking forward to seeing some proper reviews on this. Could be a real gem of a portable projector

Since it accepts HDMI 2.0, I am curious if it is a 1080P HDR-capable projector downscaling from 4K

It's using native 16:10 aspect ratio 0.59" panels common to Epson's lower cost WXGA (1280x800) business projectors.

Pretty pointless as it's not full hd imho.
And at the price 4k is available.
