In the market to upgrade

Well my 5040UB HDMI1 went out, and price wise isn't worth fixing. Debating on getting a new projector. Is there yet, or soon to be a true 4k pj with at least 2500 lumens in the $3k range or am I dreaming too much. Trying to decide if I wanna just live with mine for now or go on and upgrade. I use for everything from pitch black movies, to (the most common) garage door open to the man cave, cooking on the grill football sundays. I was pretty impressed with the 5040s ability to combat the light and out up a reasonable picture. Thanks for any advice.

Nope. True 4k starts at $5k.

Eshift reasonably starts at $1500 although I would think you would want an LED based model and I’m not aware that any of those can put 8million pixels up at “once”.

Ok thanks! I think I'll just live with my hdmi2 on the 5040 and wait for prices to come down.
