I love my LG too man

Just not very happy about blacks/contrast on a 1.1 gain white screen...is there any parameter, in your experience, to improve blacks or contrast?

I just changed display type in Panasonic from basic lumenance projector to Oled, the tone curve seems improved, need more time to confirm.

Hi all,

Did a new calibration under ver04.00.06, it seems improved the accuracy of SDR BT709, share the new measurement and setting as follows:-

SDR BT709 Measurement

SDR setting

HDR BT2020 Measurement

HDR DCI-P3 Measurement

Okay guys, I finally got my Projector in yesterday! Super happy, it was replacing an older LG PA77U model, which i used the death out of and loved. I had already made the decision to get a really good screen because I knew I would be using this a LOT, I used it everyday. So I bought a 106" SI Black Diamond reference screen, I know it's kind of overkill for an LED projector but I was making the best out of a lower lumen setup. I went into this knowing I only wanted LED because of the bulb life.

So I was already pretty dang happy with my original setup for quite a few years, i made the decision to upgrade to the new 4K version.

Holy moly! It is beyond anything i was expecting, it looks fantastic! soo worth the upgrade, and that came from my wife!

Only thing i am wondering, is there a trumotion or something like that on this model? I have seen a little kind of "reality TV" effect going on, not sure how else to describe it. but it seems more noticeable on 4K content, maybe because I have 4K files and not a dedicated disc? Any suggestions would be great!!!

Hi Kai,

wow that is a $3k+ screen...big investment mate! I am sure results are super rewarding then

For TrueMotion, check advanced picture settings. I personally deactivate any Clear or Smooth effect and customise the judder to 5 since it works good both for movies and sports.

Cheers
