Amazon Prime drops BenQ W1210ST HT2150ST

Was looking forward to getting a great deal on this projector, but now only 3rd party vendors sell it. Curious if this is any indication of BenQ phasing out this model?

The W1210ST is the non US version of the US HT2150ST.

There is no upcoming short throw 4K projector with a throw range similar to these two models from Benq or any other manufacturer.

The models with closest throw range are from Benq, the HT3550 and the TK850.

Thanks, any idea why Amazon would stop selling this projector model? Or is this BenQ’s strategic move to sell online directly to customers? 🤔

Probably more related to sales volume. Amazon focuses more on big sellers. The HT2150ST and other short throw projectors have always been more of a lower volume niche product. They tend to sell in decent numbers when new but sales drop off as the product ages. The HT2150ST design is now a little over 3 years old and due for an update. But competition in 1080p models has slowed down as 4K has become more popular. BenQ is overdue introducing a 4K short throw model comparable to the HT2150ST.

An updated version with longer/brighter/cheaper lamp while keeping the great color accuracy would be awesome. Fingers crossed

I'm hoping they have a new ST in the works, as I'm upgrading from the W1080ST.

They have a new crop of USTs out though - am hoping that doesn't mean an ST is out of the question.
