Help With Epson Home Cinema 1060-No Power!

I bought a "For Parts or Repair" Epson 1060 for 50$ in an auction hoping it was a minor fix. Well Lucky me i plug her in and not even a blue light After taking it apart i find what seems to be a fried transistor or chip. Can anyone tell me where i might find the entire board to replace it? no luck with google or ebay or epson parts dealer. lastly is it even possible to find the burnt component and solder back on or am i dreaming

Thanks.

The chances thats the only failed component are slim and soldiering on these new multi-layer circuit boards are not for novices. I would say finding another 1060 with a light engine problem might be your only hope. Unfortunately with the fairly low cost of these new most people just throw them out instead of trying to sell them for parts.

I would suggest contacting Royal Camera. They do this type of repair. They will do free diagnostics/estimates through the end of the month.

The HC1060 is a great little unit. If you can get it repaired for under $200.00 you got yourself a pretty good deal.
